Years ago, I watched my mom care for her sister while she was battling cancer — and then for my uncle, too. For months, she was caregiving around the clock with no outside help.

She never asked for a break, but I could see how much it was taking from her. And I remember thinking… I wish there was something I could do.

At the time, I didn’t even know private duty home care was an option. Even just four hours a day could’ve made such a difference — for rest, relief, or a moment of peace.

That experience is one of the reasons I’m so passionate about helping families understand what’s possible.

You don’t have to do it all alone. There is help — and people who care.

Today I’m heading out to meet with a client after her primary care physician reached out with a concern.

They noticed she may need a little extra support — either some help at home or possibly a move to assisted living where she can receive meals, supervision, and day-to-day services.
