With growth comes change ✨ EXCITING things are on the horizon 🌅I am officially hanging up the Clarity Connection Brand! Clarity Connection was the brand I put out into the world upon first opening my business. It’s something I’ll cherish forever because it was my stepping stone into entrepreneurship & I’ve grown as a businesswoman bc of it 💕However, I’ve had a nagging feeling for some time now. My brand just didn’t feel like me. It wasn’t my style, and for so long I created this image around it. As I continue on my journey, I KNEW deep down I wasn’t being true to myself; from pricing, offerings, and everything in between!

I knew it was time to evolve…..and so Ales Massage & Wellness is born 🎉 What does this mean for existing clients? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING 😊 You get to come in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly for your Therapeutic Massage Services. Things will move along as usual (including pricing 💰for all existing clients). However, the biggest change will be- I will only be accepting REFERRALS for Therapeutic Massage going forward. I am going to be focusing on Facial Massage - which includes Buccal Massage + Lymph & Myofascial Massage for the face, neck, and shoulders. When I tell you…..👏THIS SERVICE IS DIVINE 😊 (more on that later 😉) and my signature HypnoMassage, which combines Relaxation Massage + Hypnosis. These 2 offerings are a game changer for stress reduction and overall well-being & I am BEYOND excited to roll these out!!

For existing clients: These new offerings can be an optional add on to your Therapeutic Massage!

Let’s talk compliments 🗣️We’ve all given them at some point in our lives, but have you thought about how YOU receive compliments? 🤔 How you respond to a compliment can be a sneak peek into how you truly view yourself and others.

Has someone ever said to you “Nice outfit!” and you responded by saying “I got it on sale!” or “This old thing? I’ve had it forever”. Or maybe, you respond with “Thank you, BUT”. While these are all great, they show the compliment wasn’t TRULY received. This in turn raises some questions. Do you not believe you’re worthy of the recognition? Do you find being on the receiving end of a compliment to be uncomfortable? Do you subconsciously not believe what the person is telling you?

Here is a quick exercise to reflect on how you address being complimented and how it makes you feel. It’s a great way to dive a little deeper to see if you subconsciously judge your worth:

1- Recall the last time someone complimented you & write it down. Location, what you were doing, and/or who were you with?
2- Was this person your partner, a friend, or maybe a total stranger?
3- What EXACTLY did they say to you?
4- What words specifically stuck out to you?
5- How did you respond?
6- How far away did you feel from the compliment at the time? (Scale 1-10)
7- Did you find it difficult to be accepting of their words? If so, what caused hesitation?
8- How did the compliment truly make you feel?
9- How do you feel about yourself in this present moment?

“I can’t be hypnotized” 👁 This is one of the most common remarks I get from people when talking about hypnosis.

One may THINK hypnosis does not work, but the truth is - Hypnosis is a state of awareness that you go in & out of daily ✨ However, some find it more difficult than others to purposely reach this state.

Stanford University conducted a study of 24 subjects - 12 who were easily hypnotizable, and 12 that were not. Through MRI technology it was found that the 12 participants who found Hypnosis difficult had less activity in 2 networks of the brain 🧠 - the Executive Control & Salience networks. These networks are responsible for decision making and the importance of things.

Now, this does NOT mean there is anything wrong with the brain❗️It means what you are CHOOSING to value in that particular moment has an impact on these networks. Here are a few things to ask yourself:

❗️Is what you are looking to address important to you right now?
❗️Do you TRUST the Hypnotherapist you are choosing to work with?
❗️What outcomes do you value right now?

Being Hypnotizable comes down to 2 things: Are you truly ready? Are you trusting the process/practitioner? If you answer NO to either of those chances are this type of work is not going to be beneficial to you in this moment in time (and that’s OK 💖)

A little pro tip: A thorough Hypnotherapist will build a good rapport with you. This process is all about TRUST. You claim you can’t relax? They will dive into the root as to WHY relaxation is a struggle (that should be what is addressed first). They will determine your readiness (I’ve turned MANY people away for simply NOT being ready yet). You should go into this process fully committed and fully TRUSTING 💖

Like anything in life, working with the mind takes practice. That’s why it is so beneficial to work 1:1 with a practitioner instead of trying this on your own (at least to start).

Some of the most common questions/concerns I get before a Hypnosis session are:

“Will I be brainwashed?”
“Will I remember everything from my session?”
“Will I still be in control of my mind?”

While all of these concerns are valid, the answer to is ABSOLUTELY NOT ❌ No one but YOU can access your subconscious ✨

Hypnosis goes something like this: Let’s say you are taking a road trip. You know your destination but aren’t quite sure HOW to get there. I am the one holding up the map for you. It is up to YOU to figure out your route, get in your car & drive!

2022 👋 Like most things in life, this year has been filled with ups & downs. Ebbs and flows. Now it is time to wipe the slate clean, learn from the year’s past and look forward to the year ahead with gratitude and excitement 💖
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And thankfully, not everything has to continue along on the journey with us! I love to take this opportunity to write a list of things I am leaving behind in year’s past. Almost like a mental spring cleaning 🌸 Purging what is no longer working. Some things I am leaving behind in 2022:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🗑 Allow others to disregard & disrespect my time
🗑 Feeling I am less than
🗑 Committing to things I do not feel 100% about (hello people pleasing!)
🗑 Holding back when it comes to creativity & ideas
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On the flip side of that, there are a number of things I want to take with me on my journey in 2023:

✨ Betting on & trusting myself

Let’s talk Boundaries 🗣

I’m creating a Self Care Guide for my Digital Program (more details on that soon 😉) and it was really important to me to focus on a section that makes you address your boundaries!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was a people pleaser for as long as I can remember! I CONSTANTLY let others overstep my boundaries, and it was almost always people who I was CLOSEST to 🤯
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There was also a point in time when I had ZERO boundaries at all! I constantly let people disrespect me & my time, I said yes to things (especially work obligations) when I was exhausted, needed rest & needed a mental break, I let people hurt me, I put others ahead of myself when it wasn’t in my best interest/what I really wanted to do
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was a hard pill to swallow realizing I had created no boundaries for myself ‼️ After doing quite a bit of work, I now realize it was all my subconscious allowing these things out of FEAR 😧
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
FEAR of making the other person mad
FEAR of rejection
FEAR of abandonment
FEAR of letting others down
FEAR others wouldn’t like/respect me (joke was on me with this one! 🫠)
FEAR of losing business
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After living in this FEAR mindset for so long, it was difficult to let it go 👋 BUT….I took baby steps, doing things that felt right and that first “NO” was freeing!! It was like this massive weight had been lifted off my shoulders. From there, it became easier and easier to set CLEAR boundaries for myself, and I am happier because of it 💖

The thing is….people will overstep your boundaries if you allow them to (sometimes without even realizing it). Part of Self Care is identifying solid boundaries for yourself and saying NO 💖

Entrepreneur life is a wild ride! 😆 We wear MANY hats, but it is so amazing how much we learn along the way! The most rewarding part for me personally, has been how resourceful I’ve become and how much I’ve embraced my own creativity 💖

Being in the Wellness space for as long as I have, I’ve had one long standing opinion - there is no ONE method of healing that is going to be the “Be All, End All” of your journey ❌

We are SUCH complex beings! 💫 If our healing journeys consisted of a one stop shop, the world would probably be a really peaceful place! 😂 I often refer to people as onions 🧅 Once you peel back one layer there are a thousand more to be peeled back after that. That is the beauty of life! We are ever evolving, ever changing & always learning

I’ve seen a lot of people in this space claim that what they offer is going to solve EVERYTHING you have going on. That never sat right with me. My opinion, each layer needs something different. Each layer needs to be catered to and nurtured different from the last and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that! You should have a tribe along side you helping you on this journey 💖

I always tell my clients, what I do is the stepping stone to the realization you are more powerful than you think. Do we make progress and create change? HELL YEA 👏 But the beauty of it is the self realization you have ALL the tools you need within yourself to make it happen!
