Parents! If your child struggles with reading and you’ve wondered if dyslexia may be the diagnosis, the dePaul School is offering FREE screening!

If you missed our FREE screening on Saturday don't fret and be sure to mark your calendars for 6/6/25 at The James B Sanderlin Family Center. This FREE event is for children ages 5-12. If you've been wondering whether your child might be showing signs of Dyslexia, this is a great opportunity to get a quick, free screening. Each screening takes just 15 minutes per child, and it's a simple first step in identifying potential challenges with reading and learning. UPDATE: As many areas in Pinellas have no power and are dealing with flooding, for the safety of our staff Bardmoor/Largo is closed 9/27. Please call the on call physician today for urgent concerns. The St Pete office will be open for limited sick visits this afternoon.

To ensure the safety of our staff and patients, Coastal Pediatric Care will be closed Thursday 9/26 due to Hurricane Helene.

We fully support breastfeeding and always welcome questions.

Breastfeeding your baby has a lot of benefits, but it can also be challenging. This week on the Healthy Children podcast host Dr. Edith Bracho-Sanchez talks with Dr. Jenny Thomas, a pediatrician and board-certified lactation consultant, about tongue-ties and how they can impact breastfeeding. Dr. Thomas also offers advice on what to do if you think your baby might have a tongue-tie or you’re having issues breastfeeding. Tune in wherever you get your podcasts!

If you’ve been worried about your child’s reading skills, or are worried about possible dyslexia, the dePaul School is offering free reading screenings! This testing is usually quite pricey, and insurance typically doesn’t cover it. Check it out!

The dePaul School is for bright students who struggle in traditional education because of learning disability.
