Our annual Art Show was a huge success! 🎨
Guests filtered in and out all afternoon, stopping to admire the incredible artwork created by our talented residents. From expressive self-portraits to bold, free-hand canvas paintings, the creativity on display was truly inspiring. We were even delighted to have a couple of our Largo Library friends stop by to peruse the artwork! Sunlight poured through the windows, highlighting each piece perfectly, while light jazz music set the mood. Add in delicious refreshments, great conversation, and plenty of smiles, and it made for an absolutely perfect afternoon of art, community, and connection. 💛

Our residents have been BUSY this month creating stunning pieces for our Art Show! 🎨✨ Join us today from 2:30–3:30 to soak in the creativity, cheer on our incredible artists, and enjoy some light refreshments while you browse. 🖼️🍪 We can’t wait to show off all this amazing talent!

It’s always a great day when Penny and the Pets come to visit—we never know who she’s going to bring through the door! 🐾🎉 Seeing Stick the Gator again was extra special since we’ve been watching him grow from an itty-bitty baby into the big guy he is today. 🐊💚 It won’t be long before Stick heads off to a gator farm (we’ll miss you, buddy! 😢), and Penny will be back with a brand-new baby pet to surprise us. Pie Day on a FriYAY?! That’s what we call a slice of perfection! 🥧😆
We rolled out to Sonny’s BBQ for some finger-lickin’ goodness and top-tier fellowship. Then we turned up the fun at happy hour with Dale crooning like the legend he is 🎶—plus snacks, smiles, and just the right amount of PIE (purely for quality control, of course 😉).

Basically: good food, great music, sweet treats, and a FriYAY done right!

The last couple of days have been extremely busy here at Lake House, and we’ve loved every minute of it!

Yesterday kicked off with our general morning meeting—always a great time to connect. Our ladies then took the opportunity to celebrate one of our favorite volunteers, Miss Ella, during our Ladies Timeless Treasures group 💐. We were also grateful to have the League of Women Voters on site all morning, assisting residents with registering and signing up for mail-in voting.

The afternoon was spent getting creative as we began working on pieces of artwork for our upcoming art show 🎨.

This morning started with a light but lively conversation about cat personalities—we all agreed they can be little jerks sometimes, but are also incredibly sweet and lovable 😸💛. That was followed by our weekly workout with Legacy, and this afternoon we continued working on artwork for our fair.

We encourage you to come see the beautiful pieces our residents have created—whether from their lives before coming to Lake House or during their time with us. The show is one week from TODAY at 2:30! Their talent and creativity truly shine!
