Bicycle Day (April 19, 1943) marks the first intentional L*D trip in history, taken by Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann.
While working at Sandoz Laboratories in Basel, Hofmann deliberately ingested 250 micrograms of L*D (lysergic acid diethylamide)—a substance he had first synthesized a few years earlier.
Soon after, he began experiencing intense and unfamiliar psychological effects. Because wartime restrictions limited car travel, Hofmann asked his assistant to es**rt him home—by bicycle.

Today was a good day.
More than 80,000 died of drug overdoses just in 2024 the USA and it’s estimated that somewhere around 5.9 million people are currently addicted to opioids in the USA.
One dose of Ibogaine has an 80% rate of freeing these people from addiction, and with two doses it’s over 90%.
And that’s just addiction. It also has fantastic results for treating PTSD and traumatic brain injuries in veterans.

A 2024 Stanford-led open-label trial (n=30 US special operations veterans with TBI) found magnesium-ibogaine treatment led to 88% average reduction in PTSD symptoms (e.g., CAPS-5 scores), 87% in depression, and 81% in anxiety one month post-treatment.

The "Curandera" and the Spirit Code
In every Northern village, the Curandera held the secret of the "Spirit Code." She understood that illness wasn't just physical; it was often a "Susto" (fright) or an imbalance of the soul. Her remedies combined mountain herbs with prayer and ritual, treating the whole person. This was the "secret" healthcare system of the North that thrived for centuries before the first hospital was ever built in Santa Fe, proving that faith was as much a medicine as any root or leaf.

Sol Tryp and Doc Deb would like to thank everyone who came out to the events this weekend 🙌🏽 Despite unexpected and last minute cancellations in our lineup, we had incredible attendance both Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Heather A. Lee (featured in the film) was missed and we all wish you a speedy recovery! 🤒🙏🏽💕
All things considered, we made it work 💪🏽
I love these opportunities to connect with community, teach, and instill hope and healing. A BIG shoutout to spirit sister, Yolanda Martinez who shared stories, songs and her bear drum on Friday night and blessed the film event with an invocational prayer and song. Miigwech 🙏🏽 It was great to have Senator Jeff Steinborn (the primary sponsor of SB 219 which passed and legalized medical psilocybin in NM) attend as well and add to our panel discussion at the end. Thank you, Jeff!! A very special thank you to Dr. Jennifer Halpern who co-presented with me on end of life; good job! And my long time volunteer who is ALWAYS ready to help out, Carmella Apodaca Irwin, who greeted everyone at the door and handled ticket sales; so very grateful for you ❤️

We’d also like to give a big shoutout to TheraPsil Canada who shared a short film with us that was the perfect prelude to the film, Last Journey. Sol Tryp looks forward to collaborating with TheraPsil more in the months ahead.
Overall, we are blessed to have these opportunities and look forward to future events 🙌🏽🪶☀️✨

Repost from Denise Rue, of New Jersey Psychedelic Therapy Association and soon to be Decriminalize Nature New Jersey team to pass policy on the local level. If you want to help reach out and we will connect you

The concepts in the graphic are taken from the papers below. Remember if state policy only involves synthetic psilocybin, not only are you missing out on watching these beautiful mushrooms grow and connecting deeply with nature, you are buying into a pharmaceutical system which inherently disconnects you from the spirt of the mushrooms themselves and the ability to grow - gather - gift on your own. Decriminalize Nature today!
