We love Kerry!!! She is such an amazing leader for everyone here at DTS, don't know what we would do without her!

Meet Aprendamos Family of Services shareholder and Speech-Language Pathologist, Kerry Palma-Szalay! 😀 As a professional who worked with adults with developmental disabilities, she realized early on that if she could reach children and families earlier, she and the team could potentially change the course of their clients' lives. Kerry became part of the core group that helped to establish the early intervention program that is now known as Aprendamos.

Looking ahead at the future, Kerry feels Aprendamos isn’t finished evolving. 🌟 “We know the journey is far from over, and we are committed to continuing our partnerships, expanding our programs, and finding new ways to meet the needs of families. Helping Our Community in a Time of Need!

Direct Therapy Services is proud to host a food drive supporting Casa de Peregrinos,

Las Cruces’ leading emergency food program.

We are collecting nonperishable food items in our front office through Friday, November 14. Your support will help local families who are facing increased challenges this season.

Why This Matters?

Many households in Doña Ana County depend on SNAP benefits to feed their families.

With potential delays in SNAP distributions this year, more families will be stretching already limited budgets just to get by.

Your donations will help Casa de Peregrinos respond quickly to this increased need, ensuring no family goes without a meal.

What to Donate

Most Needed Items:

Canned vegetables, soups, and beans

Pasta, rice, and boxed meals

Peanut butter, cereal, and shelf-stable milk

Each contribution - no matter the size - makes a difference for local families in need.

Monetary Donations Make an Even Bigger Impact
While food donations are essential, financial contributions stretch even further. Casa de Peregrinos can purchase food directly from local suppliers and food banks at reduced rates, often turning each dollar into four or more meals.

Funds also help cover storage, transportation, and emergency needs that physical donations cannot always meet.
