Starting February 15, 2026, the Food Is Medicine Program supports Medicaid patients in Southern New Mexico, including pregnant people living with Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetes.

Eligible participants receive weekly, home-delivered grocery boxes with locally grown produce, eggs, and grains—because access to nourishing food is part of care.

Wrapped up an amazingly educational and busy weekend at the in Las Cruces where we did hands on training and scenarios to practice the skills we use for the occasional emergency. Big shout out to for their support, Andrea and Avril at B.E.S.T for all of their wisdom and work they put into a thorough and fun event, and NMSU for having us in their space doing our Midwifery weirdness. 🤣

It was refreshing to gather with all my community birthworkers near and far, and learn with them and from their experiences. The amount of stories and laughter filling the room was refreshing to the soul. It was too long since our last gathering! ❤️❤️✨️
