✨ Day 6 Post CO₂ Laser Update ✨

The worst is behind me 🙌 The heat, swelling, and scary peeling days are gone, and now my skin is in that “rosy glow” phase 🌸. Think baby-soft but still a little pink like a healing sunburn.

💧 Moisturizer = my best friend.
🧴 SPF = non-negotiable.
💄 Makeup? I don’t wear foundation… but if you do than only if your provider says it’s safe.

What I am noticing: smooth texture, tighter feel, and a hint of that glow everyone talks about ✨ The flaking is mostly done, just a few dry spots hanging on.

🚫 Still no scrubs, no Vitamin C, no harsh stuff — just gentle love and sun protection.

Basically, we’re out of the danger zone and into the “worth it” phase 😍 Stay tuned for that final glow reveal!

CO₂ Laser Facial healing is a journey, not an overnight fix. Each stage brings you closer to glowing, renewed skin! 🌟✨ Protect your skin, hydrate, and trust the process.

🔥 Day 0 – Immediately After Treatment

Your skin will feel hot, tight, and a little swollen (like a sunburn). Redness and sensitivity are at their peak. Cooling fans, ice packs, and gentle aftercare are your best friends.

🌙 Days 1–3 – Red, Swollen, & Tender

The skin remains red and puffy. Tiny grid-like patterns from the laser may be visible. Expect a sunburned look with some oozing or crusting. Hydration + sun avoidance are crucial here.

🌿 Days 4–7 – Peeling & Flaking

The outer layer of skin starts peeling off, revealing new, fresh skin underneath. This stage can feel itchy or tight. Do NOT pick or scratch—let it naturally shed.

Peeling slows down and the new skin looks smoother and pinkish. Makeup can usually be worn at this point, but SPF is a must! The collagen remodeling is underway.

✨ Let’s talk pain levels with CO₂ Laser! ✨

I know this is the #1 question I get, so here’s my honest experience 👇

🔹 During the treatment:
I was numbed with a topical cream for an hour before we started. Honestly, it was tolerable—around a 4–6/10 depending on the area. The temples and lips were the most sensitive, but overall not bad at all.

🔹 Right after:
The biggest thing wasn’t pain—it was HEAT 🔥. I just wanted to get home! I took Tylenol, sat in front of my fan for about 20 minutes, and that felt amazing. At that point pain dropped to a 2/10, just some swelling and tenderness.

🔹 First night:
I was nervous about sleeping on my face (I’m a side sleeper 🙈). Took some melatonin and managed to stay mostly on my back. Minimal pain, just tenderness around the eyes.

🔹 Day 1:
Still avoiding heat—only washing with cool water because anything warm felt uncomfortable. Took ibuprofen for swelling and stayed hydrated. Pain was minimal.

🔹 Day 2:
Woke up swollen but zero pain. Slept comfortably, washed with cool water, and feeling so much better already. 🙌

✨ Bottom line:
• Pain during: 4–6/10 (depending on the spot)
• Pain after: 2/10
• Most uncomfortable part: The heat sensation, not actual pain.

So if you’ve been wondering “Does CO₂ laser hurt?”—it’s way more tolerable than most people expect.
