My gong and A # singing bowl echo to each other beautifully…the sounds echo and linger for about 2-3 minutes in the room. Wow! We should do a sound bath party this Saturday, shouldn’t we?

Who wants to come?

At the first day of 2024, I got up at the blue hour, went up to Blue Diamond hill and catched the first sunrise. I have a goal that for the year of 2024, I will work on the 12 step breakthrough and get off the "seefood" diet habit. That's right, I will keep the seafood, but no more seefood.

I have signed up a memtal health coaching class last week, and the first course is Life Recovery Coaching. hmm...unmanageable "seefood" diet habit could be an addiction issue.....

Your back is the most important and holds the most complexity in the human body. There are networks of muscles, nerves, and bones that work together to keep you upright and mobile. Due to this complexity, many problems can arise as several kinds of musculoskeletal conditions and having a tight back is one of them.

The most common cause of a tight back is overuse of the muscles; Exercising, Job related stressors, and bad posture can cause muscles to be tight. While it may differ from person to person on techniques and biomechanics, understanding the causes of a tight back can help you determine what course of action is best to alleviate a "locked" back.

Depending on the severity of the muscle tightness, a simple routine such as stretching can help improve symptoms. However, for more severe cases, a Medical Massage Practitioner or Physical Therapy can help target tight muscles specifically to help release them.

We specialize in Medical Massage and Pre-Physical Therapy treatments that can help you facilitate a faster recovery.

Having a good posture is very important and can improve your quality of life. Did you know? Recently many people find themselves on the computer for work and entertainment. Being on a computer, or cellphone, for a long period of time can cause people to form bad postures due to how they sit in their chair. The most common complaints people find are usually the following.

1. Increase back pain; when you slouch, you put stress on your lower back!
2. Frequent headaches; tension from neck and shoulders can cause migraine headaches!
3. Increased tension in neck and shoulders; when your head is too far forward or back, this puts unnecessary strain on your neck, shoulders, and upper back.
4. Increased abnormal wear on joint surfaces; when sitting in a crooked position, the joints will wear unevenly which can cause pain or other issues to develop.
5. Decreased Lung capacity; when slouching, your lungs are being compressed.

Maintaining great posture helps prevent these 5 most common issues found in bad posture. At Body Kinetics Wellness Center, we offer Muscle Relief Therapy that can help you release tight muscles that can help you regain a better posture.
