Caregiver / PCA Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living; including dressing, mobility, personal hygiene, and eating.
- Maintain documentation on each resident during your shift. Document and report any changes in resident’s health status.
- Prepare all meals and snacks as scheduled for residents and assist with feeding.
- Maintain open communication between families and health care professionals regarding resident’s medical and emotional condition.
- Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervision
- Mobility assistance; this includes but is not limited to: help with getting in and out of a wheelchair, car or shower, and assisting with ambulation with walker or cane.
- Administrative tasks such as answering phones and greeting visitors
Requirements:
- Six (6) months of caregiver experience
- Successful completion of written Competency Evaluation
- Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
- Valid driver's license and use of an insured, dependable automobile
- Two (2) work-related professional references
- Valid Social Security number and proof of legal ability to work and reside in the United States
- Clean criminal record, DMV and background check and acceptance of drug-free policy
- Be a dependable, compassionate, responsible, and truthful
- A personal commitment to provide the highest level of care to our clients
- High school diploma or equivalent
- PCA state required baseline training
- Two-Step TB test (we can provide)
- Valid Current CPR & First Aid certificate
- Pre-Employment Physical
