Fear can wear a mask that looks like safety. It hides behind “policy,” “routine,” and “just in case.”But fear and wisdom aren’t the same thing.
Birth was never meant to be ruled by fear; it was meant to be guided by faith, evidence, and trust.
Mama, you deserve informed care that honors both science and God’s perfect design. 🤍

Things that have personally betrayed me in labor 😅
From a beautifully progressing labor that suddenly stalls to an OP baby that just won’t rotate — midwives know these moments all too well. 😂
What would make your betrayal list? 👇

When I first found out I was pregnant, l was juggling two providers. Halfway through, I realized I felt so much better with Ali—she gave us the support and attention we weren’t getting from the OB-GYN office, so I stuck with her.
Labor turned a bit tricky when Ali noticed my baby’s heart rate wasn’t where it should be. She quickly arranged a hospital transfer, but even once I was there she stayed on the line, answering my calls, breaking down what the doctors were doing, and keeping me calm. After the birth, we kept up with postpartum visits, and l’ve never felt more confident in a caregiver.
If we ever have more kids, l’d pick Ali without hesitation. She’s honestly the best. She makes you feel totally supported and in the loop, she’s thorough and safety-focused, and she’s also a fantastic conversationalist—funny when you need a laugh, empathetic when you need a hug. She’s a true professional, but also a mom, a human, and a friend.

Bottom line: I’d recommend Ali to anyone looking for a midwife who’s caring, knowledgeable, and just plain wonderful.
To add: she made the most BEAUTIFUL watercolor art of my son’s placenta and encapsulated it into pills for me. Highly recommend!

Hot Take 🔥
A breech baby isn’t the danger — the danger is when providers no longer know how to safely deliver one.

ACOG acknowledges that “planned vaginal delivery of a term singleton breech fetus may be reasonable under hospital-specific protocol guidelines” when the provider is skilled and experienced.
And the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists warns that “the decline in vaginal breech births has resulted in a loss of skills and experience.”

That loss of skill? That’s the real risk.

The work that Dr. Stu Fischbein () and Breech Without Borders are doing to restore breech competency is profound. Their dedication to teaching hands-on skills and rebuilding confidence in physiologic breech birth is keeping this sacred knowledge alive — and that matters deeply.

This is a passion of mine, too. A mother with a breech baby should never be told her only option is a cesarean. She deserves informed choice, skilled support, and access to care that honors her and her baby.
