SELF MYOFASCIAL RELEASE is the same dynamic of "foam rolling", something most people dont do right.

HOW TO: Using a foam roller, hard medicine ball, even a tennis ball will all have the same effect. Find a sore spot in the muscle(ANY muscle...yes even your chest) and apply pressure using one of these tools. It should be resting on the point that is sore. Do not roll(everyone's mistake)

The point is to stimulate something called a Golgi Tendon in the muscle which sends a signal to the rest of the tight muscle to relax and release tension. 30 seconds is all you need. This can be done before physical activity or even before you go to sleep at night.
