Seeking Barn Staff with horse experience

Dream Therapies is a local Nevada based company that has been open for 2 decades. Dream Therapies provides therapeutic riding, aquatic therapy and Pediatric Occupational, Physical and Speech therapy to primarily to children but also to many young adults.

Dream Therapies is seeking individuals who can do either a barn only position or a COMBINED position of Barn Staff (also known as program assistants) and medical office clerk work at Dream Therapies.

Barn Position: Most therapeutic riding programs utilize ONLY volunteers in their barn. This paying position is a rare and rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone with special needs!

Applicants must have owned horses, either currently or in the past, to assist in the therapeutic riding and hippotherapy portion of our program. Preference will be given to individuals with extensive horse experience, including the ability to deworm a horse. Other important experience that can be verified (e.g. ribbons, certificates, trophies, belt buckles) all count!. Applicants will be expected to do a working interview as part of the interview process to evaluate their proficiency in ability to handle horses (safety and experience is needed), as well as their ability to work with our amazing team.

Applicants must also be able to do heavy work that includes, but is not limited to: mucking stalls, putting manure into a 2 yard dumpster, lifting up to 24 hay bales up to 80 pounds, up to 5 feet high, picking hooves and. putting wheelbarrows of pea gravel into our stalls and arena.

Many of our clients speak Spanish as a primary language, therefore preference will be given to individuals who are fluent in Spanish and English. Position pays $10.50 and up depending on experience.

Dream Therapies provides pediatric Occupational, Physical and Speech therapy services to children aged birth to 18 years. In addition to traditional outpatient clinic-based therapy our therapists also provide hippotherapy (therapy utilizing the movement of a horse) and aquatic therapy. Office clerks have opportunity to train and assist in a hippotherapy environment. So much fun!

Dream Therapies is seeking individuals who can work a combination of IT and medical office/clerical work at our multidisciplinary outpatient pediatric facility. We are seeking individuals who:

- are Spanish bilingual
- live in Las Vegas/Henderson area
- are able to work in a fast paced exciting environment
- have strong communication skills to work with our patients, their families and our team of employees
-are flexible and creative
-can reset modems/routers
-can troubleshoot connectivity of devices to the network (printers, internet)
- can work effectively with, and be able to troubleshoot difficulties with Excel/Word (e.g. ensuring Microsoft updates are done)
- can use clouds efficiently
- are able to use BOTH Macs and PC
-are available weekends and weekday closing shifts (perfect for those in college/school)
- preferable have experience with medical office duties, though we will train
- have 2-3 previous supervisor references (letters of reference preferred)
- are able to do a skills interview as well as a verbal interview

There are opportunities for advancement into management for motivated individuals who are assertive communicators and quick learners.

Individuals with management experience, certificates/degrees, OR horse experience can be considered for a higher rate of pay.

We are seeking SLPs or CFYs for a full time position, with our multidisciplinary outpatient pediatric team. In this position you will become part of a team of professionals invested in you achieving personal goals and making measurable differences in the lives of our clients.

We are looking for flexible, family oriented, creative individuals who "think outside of the box" while providing evaluation and treatment for the wide variety of children/families we serve.

In addition to traditional clinic based therapy we have opportunity for you to use hippotherapy and aquatics as part of your treatment plan. So much fun!

Position requires
• Nevada Speech Language Pathology license
• The ability to perform evaluations and develop a treatment plan with goal in collaboration with a parent/legal guardian
• The ability to implement that plan of care in treatment sessions and have follow through with the parent/legal guardian with documented home programs
• The ability to complete treatment plan updates and reevaluations for continuing care when it is medically justified
• strong computer skills for documentation in an EMR for evaluation, reevaluations and treatment
• two previous supervisor references (letters of recommendation are accepted and preferred)
• the ability to work in a fast paced, exciting team environment.
Preference is given to therapists with pediatric experience though mentorship is available.

Most of our clients are school aged and we therefore support our families by providing services both during evenings or weekends.

Yearly income starts at 85,000 per year.
