❤️💙💛💚Y’all It’s April and it’s Autism Awareness and Acceptance month🎉Today is World Autism Awareness & Acceptance Day. This month we celebrate individuals with Autism and for me that’s my baby girl, Miss Zari.
❤️💙💛💚Now most of you know her journey and let me tell you it has been a JOURNEY! Miss Zari is doing well, first and foremost her seizures are still under control and yes she is completely holistic, she’s happy, healthy and thriving. Zari is almost 24 years old now.
❤️💙💛💚She currently goes to her JDT program, she’s dancing and singing everyday, she is working on perfecting her MJ moves and playing her drums. She loves art and fashion, and has even been interested in make up and learning to cook. She’s working on her independent goals and helping around the house as much as she can. And of course I motivate her to be all that she can be.
❤️💙💛💚I can honestly say she has a lot of good days VS bad days. I would like to thank all of my family, friends, and community in both Vegas and Chicago for always supporting her, checking on her, encouraging her, and most importantly being kind to her.
❤️💙💛💚This year the theme for Autism Awareness and Acceptance month is Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value, focusing on affirming the dignity, rights, and equal worth of all autistic individuals. This theme moves beyond mere awareness to advocate for inclusion, neurodiversity, and the unique contributions of autistic people to society.
❤️💙💛💚I would like for everyone to please pay attention to things you say and pay attention to the way you act towards anyone in this world with a disability. We need equality and we need to reduce discrimination against people with disabilities. We all deserve to live in a world where everyone is included and treated with dignity.
If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read my post.
Love You All,
TarausP❤️
