Last month I had one of the most fulfilling experiences of my entire career.

My friend (and fellow coach) and I led 13 men into the Grand Canyon to hike Rim to River in one shot.

16 miles, 9,000 ft of elevation change, starting in the pitch black at 3 AM.

But the real transformation didn’t happen in the canyon.
It happened in the months leading up to it.

Men who were “too busy,” or worried about “holding others back,” stopped believing the old stories in their heads and trained with purpose.

They rebuilt discipline.
Improved communication at home.
Lived with more intention.
Found confidence they hadn’t felt in years.

Then we spent a week together in AZ: hiking Devil’s Bridge, staying in a top-tier Airbnb, disconnecting from the noise, and truly hitting the reset button.

And now, R2R 2026 is officially open. Only 10 spots are left.

I want you to have this experience and be part of this next group.

Here’s what you get:
• 4-month training plan
• Bi-weekly coaching calls
• Logistics handled (meals and accommodations)
• A bucket-list challenge you’ll never forget

But here’s what you REALLY get:
• A complete reset
• Clarity and confidence
• Brotherhood
• Proof you still have another gear

A few words from the guys who were on the last trip:

“I left that canyon with confidence and peace I didn’t know I needed.”

“This trip flipped a switch for me… I stopped drinking and committed to a marathon.”

“I didn’t know how badly I needed this trip.”

Training starts in January.
Hike is April 30th.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of the next transformation, DM me “R2R” for more details.

Last month, I watched 13 men discover something they'd lost.
Not on a therapist's couch. Not in another self-help book.
At the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

My fellow coach Tommy Geary and I led these men on a Rim-to-River descent they'll carry with them for the rest of their lives.

We started at 3 AM in pitch darkness, headlamps cutting through the night.

Sixteen miles stretched ahead. Nine thousand feet of elevation waiting to humble us. The beautiful Colorado River gleaming like a promise at the bottom.

One foot in front of the other. No phones. No escape hatches. Just the trail, the brotherhood, and the choice to keep moving.
And every single man made it.

But here's what nobody expected: the hike was the cherry on top.

This experience offered so many more powerful moments.

The group calls where we learned new skills to manage the demands of life. The side hikes through Sedona's red rocks. The sweet set up at our Flagstaff Airbnb.

These men didn't just get a bucket-list adventure.
They discovered a new aspect about themselves.

And now: R2R 2026 is officially open.

We're doing it again. Same challenge. Same intensity. Same life-changing experience.

But there are only 10 spots left.

And I need you to know something: this isn't for everyone.

This is for the man who feels like he's sleepwalking through life or worse, STUCK.

For the guy who's let his discipline slip and knows it.
For the father, the husband, the professional who's been so busy taking care of everyone else that he forgot to take care of himself.

This is for the man who's ready to feel alive again.

Here’s what you get (the features):
A complete training plan designed and led by me
Bi-weekly coaching calls for focus and accountability
A fully planned itinerary and logistics handled for you
Accommodations and meals
A bucket-list challenge you will never forget

But here’s what you REALLY get:
A purpose to get out of the mundane
A brotherhood with other guys who share your challenges
A chance to feel alive again
Proof you still have another gear

Here’s what a few of the guys from the last trip said:

“I left that canyon with confidence and peace I didn’t know I needed.”

“This trip flipped a switch for me… I stopped drinking and committed to a marathon.”

“I’m so grateful I shared the trail with this group.”

Here's How It Works
Sign up before November ends (if spots remain).
Training launches in January.
We hike in April.

This will sell out. Not because of hype, but because the men who did this last year won't stop talking about it.

You have a choice right now:
Keep scrolling. Keep wondering. Keep waiting for the "right time."
Or take the leap.
The canyon will be there either way.
But will you?

All or nothing thinking is wrecking your health because....
..it assumes only one thing can be true - often with an 'OR' proposition:

In fact, I was just on a call this morning with a client who was skipping his morning workouts because he was getting up early and going straight to work because he thought he would get behind if didn't get "the little things" done before his day started.

"I have to get to work OR I can get my workout done".

In doing so, he discounted the idea/thought that two things could be true.

"I can get in a quick 20 minute workout AND I can get the little things done before the day begins"

This is the power of MULTIPLICITY!

Multiple things can be true - often with an 'AND' proposition:

You can not drink with your clients AND still make sales.
You can go out with friends AND still eat healthy.
You can grow your business AND make time for your family and health.
You can be upset you didn't lose weight this week AND proud of your progress in other areas.

What all or nothing thoughts are holding you back from achieving better health? Comment below!

Have you ever finished food on your plate (or on the table) simply because you were taught to not waste food?

"Don't throw the food in the garbage, that's wasting it!", said Mom and Dad

It's a noble idea.

But, here's the thing....when you eat food you don't need because you are already full, you're still wasting it, only YOU BECOME THE GARBAGE CAN.

I'm not saying wasting food is good. Make less or save it for left overs.

But eating food you don't need is not helping anybody.

NUTRITION is the #1 influencer when it comes to impacting your health span. Now, let’s talk about #2, which doesn’t get nearly enough attention:

Here are just a few:

• Increased Muscle Mass

A common mistake I see people make when pursuing their goals...

Failing to master the mundane!

The 'Rocky montage' and the overcoming adversity or some big challenge followed by glory makes up 1% of the actual goal attainment process.

The other 99% is about doing the little, boring things everyday.

Every worthy pursuit requires a unique ability to 'master the mundane'.

This means showing up everyday and working your craft. Whether you want to lose weight, get stronger, sleep better, be a better Dad - you must embrace the boring aspects of the process.

What's something you do that's boring, but integral to your success? Let me know in the comments.

The biggest mistake I made when creating my morning routine was....
..trying to do too much.

Sounds like an obvious mistake, but like a lot of guys, I fell into the trap of "if a little is good, more must be better".

But that isn't true, especially when it comes to cultivating a meaningful morning routine. It's not about checking things off of your list. Diluted efforts lead to diluted results.

It's about setting yourself up for long term success (not just being productive that day).

Your efforts each morning should lead to a compounding effect that achieves something amazing in your life over time.

It's an investment.

So here's 5 questions to ask yourself to establish a meaningful morning routine:

1. What does your current routine look like?
2. What activities make you feel most energized and fulfilled?
3. Do you have any time constraints you need to consider?
4. What are long term goal will be best served by a consistent and meaningful morning routine?
5. Are there any challenges you face to staying consistent with your routine?

Check out this week's Man in the Arena Podcast for more insights on cultivating the two most important times of day.

My health, and my life, dramatically improved when I did these two things....

1. I cultivated the first hour of my day
2. I cultivated the last hour of my day

I stopped letting these hours of the day slip away from me and I used these times to intentionally create the results I wanted in my life.

Research has shown that when we intentionally form habits and behaviours at these times we are happier, healthier, more productive and more fulfilled - so I heeded the advice and created a routine that worked for me.

In today's Man in the Arena episode, I talk about how you can do the same in a way the aligns with YOUR goals, not mine or someone else's.

Imagine what you could cultivate in your life if you intentionally cultivated your first and last hour of the day?

Ever worked on a project, launched a course or tried to lose weight only to realize your results don't reflect the sweat, early mornings, and sacrifices you made? It’s a tough pill to swallow.

My client said this to me today after he recently failed to finish a race due to injury.

"I run marathons and sometimes I don't get the results I want or train for - it comes with the territory. I just head back to the lab and get back to work"

I was so impressed with his mindset. He didn't pout or wallow in self-pity.

He realized that showing up and doing the work does not entitle him to the desired outcome.

That's the power of surrendering the outcome....it means you keep showing up no matter what!

I feel like you coached me today Odell! 🙏

I just finished lunch and something hit me and I think it might help you. As I finished eating, I noticed I wasn't 'satisfied'. I was full and no longer hungry, but I wasn't satisfied. I wanted something else to eat.

Thing is, I didn't need more food. I was full.

If you are trying to lose weight or just stay healthy, it's important to be aware of this distinction - the distinction between BEING full and FEELING satisfied.

Food should rarely be our source of reward or satisfaction or entertainment or comfort in life. This causes overeating. Find satisfaction, entertainment and comfort in other ways and your relationship with food will change and your weight will as well. 👊
