Pure. Boundless. Infinite.
It’s no secret that I’ve been busy with a few different projects but one of the projects I am most proud of has been working with Jennifer Sawyer on the opening of her new studio, Obsidian Yoga Las Vegas 🖤✨
It’s no secret that there has been a yoga void in the Northwest Valley for years and in these weird times, Jennifer stepped up to the plate and not only said she wants to bring accessible, all levels yoga to the area but that she wanted to do it with a diverse staff, reflective of the needs and nature of the community, all from a place of service after feeling her own life change for the better due to her yoga practice.
What kept my interest was when I saw, firsthand, her level of commitment and personal investment; not just financially but that *she* wanted to show up for the studio. She wanted to run the desk, get to know the teachers AND the members and while she can’t teach yoga (yet 😉), she wanted to be there through it all, even for the not so glamorous daily operations that come with running a boutique studio. That, to me, is the real deal and I’m so proud of what she’s building to serve this part of the valley.
So as of yesterday, Obsidian Yoga has opened their doors with a grand opening less than 8 weeks away (January 2, 2022). Tonight, I get the privilege of teaching my first evening double.
I hope you’ll join me in supporting yet another badass, woman owned, small, local business and drop in for a class soon.
We’ll see you on the mat! 🖤✨
