2 days into the drop and I am 2 pounds down!

But most importantly my stomach is starting to feel better.

After a course of antibiotics my gut was totally off… It just felt like I couldn’t digest my food and was stuck with a constant food baby 😒

It’s only been 2 days so it’s not back 100% but the results feel promising.

You know me… I am not into gimmicky weight loss schemes. There’s no pill out there that is better than whole food nutrition and exercise.

BUT…

I am all about supporting our body with the right supplements so it can function optimally. Not a single product in the 5 day drop is weight loss… it’s all a gut reset (with the benefit of weight loss) yes please I’ll take that!

It's easy to get caught up in busy schedules & neglect our own well-being. But here is the HARD TRUTH: taking care of yourself is essential to show up as the best version of yourself.

💪I’ve personally struggled with this & learned (the hard way) that recharging/refilling my cup is non-negotiable. Here are a few things I've been doing that have been helping me:

🚶‍♀️Go for a walk- The combination of fresh air/sunlight/movement can help reduce stress + improve overall mood.

📞 Call a friend- connecting with friends can have a profound impact on your mental well-being. Even just a quick 10-minute phone call can give you that connection + emotional support.

🛀Take a bath or shower- Warm water can help to relax muscles & relieve stress, having multiple benefits for both the body + mind. I love to
Add epsom salt.

Ya'll know I am all for a healthy swap. If you thinking eating healthy = boring or that you have to give up the foods you love, I am here to tell you there is always a healthier alternative.

Take your Tostitos or any brand of chip thats cooked in inflammatory vegetable oils and throw them in the 🗑️

What to look for instead. Chips that are cooked/baked with coconut oil/avocado oil (best two options), or olive oil... Bonus if they are grain free = plantains, sweet potatoes, cassava. etc.

Here are some of my favorites:

✨ Reinvent Your Hormone Story ✨

We're often told as women that cramps, mood swings, skin issues, heavy flow, back pain and enlarged breasts are a normal part of our cycle.

The truth is it is possible to have easy periods without all of those symptoms, even if you have PCOS for example.

There are lifestyle modification and supplements that can dramatically change your experience.

Lifestyle modifications
🥩 Eat whole food and provide your body with enough nutrients (starving yourself, eliminating carbs, too much fasting can fu*k s**t up)

This is something you will hear me say often, "You can have excuses or you can have growth... you can't have both." What excuses come up for you regularly? How can you be proactive to override them?⁣

Do you often hear yourself saying "I am too tired, I don't have enough time, this is too hard, etc?" Write down your most common excuses and find a way to prevent them.⁣

Example: I want to work out every day but I don't have the time. First, take a look at your schedule, where do you see "wasted time"... scrolling on Instagram/Facebook, not getting out of bed when your alarm first goes off, trying to figure out what to cook/eat. Then choose how you are going to turn that wasted time into a net positive = limit screen time to 30min a day, don't allow yourself to get on your phone until your workout is complete, do 20 squats before you brush your teeth, take a walk instead of Netflix...⁣

The results you are going to see are up to you!⁣

It’s been a hellish day.⁣

A lot of people rely on you to be the strong one even though inside you rarely feel like it.⁣

You pour everything you have into those around you.⁣

It can be easy to feel under-appreciated.⁣

Every day feels like a photocopy of the day before.⁣

You’re the walking definition of STRESSED.⁣

And while intellectually you don’t want to go full blown ‘Cookie Monster’ mode and bury your face in chocolate, ice cream, alcohol and chips, it feels impossible not to.⁣

It is the root cause behind many negative experiences like anxiety, stress, depression, and anger.⁣⁣

It’s the train of thought that can be harsh in its judgment of you. ⁣⁣

The train of thought that says nothing is ever good enough. ⁣⁣

The train of thought that does not have a kind or supportive word for you but instead compares you negatively to others while constantly predicting failure, embarrassment, and rejection. ⁣⁣

But the truth is…⁣

It’s just an old program.⁣

It’s out of date.⁣

Because the truest version of yourself remembers why you’re really here and knows your true worth.⁣

Practice nurturing this positive voice.⁣

It will lay the foundation for true, lifelong transformation.

For a long time, I felt lost.⁣

I read all the self-help books.⁣

I listen to my affirmations every day.⁣

I dabbled in different practices.⁣

I *thought* I was doing all of the right things.⁣

But in reality, I never addressed the root problem…⁣

There was a core wound that I neglected to see.⁣

The result?⁣

I struggled with my self-worth and body dysmorphia.⁣

I’d promise myself change and then oftentimes, even in the same day, those promises evaporated as I’d lose control and slump back into the lifestyle that made me so upset.⁣

But once I had the right 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 everything changed.⁣

I created a 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 if you’d like the roadmap.⁣

During a study at Harvard in the 1950s, Dr. Curt Richter placed rats in a pool of water to test how long they could tread water.⁣

On average they'd give up and sink after 15 minutes.⁣

But right before they gave up due to exhaustion, the researchers would pluck them out, dry them off, let them rest for a few minutes - and put them back in for a second round.⁣

In this second try - how long do you think they lasted?⁣

Remember - they had just swam until failure only a few short minutes ago...⁣

How long do you think?⁣

Another 15 minutes?⁣

10 minutes?⁣

5 minutes?⁣

No!⁣

60 hours!⁣

That's not an error.⁣

That's right! 60 hours of swimming.⁣

The conclusion drawn was that since the rats BELIEVED that they would eventually be rescued, they could push their bodies way past what they previously thought impossible.⁣

I will leave you with this thought:⁣

If hope can cause exhausted rats to swim for that long, what could a belief in yourself and your abilities, do for you?⁣

Remember what you’re capable of. Remember why you’re here. "⁣

Keep swimming.⁣
