I’ve been wanting to do a video but time has not allowed me to put one together.

Alta Vista is 100% NOT closing down!!

We have zero plans to close down, nor have we even discussed closing down. A certain newspaper out of Santa Fe irresponsibly decided to print an article based on false claims from a person who has a vendetta against our hospital. Rather than coming to us and interviewing us about the state of our hospital, they posted what they were told and ended up posting false information.
More recently there was an article in the Optic, which discussed the POTENTIAL impact on rural hospitals throughout the entire country, not specifically Alta Vista, from the bill just passed by congress. Nobody knows exactly what the effects of that bill are going to bring. Yes, we are concerned about how the bill can impact our hospital, but we are not rolling over and giving up. We remain hopeful!
We have every intention to not only keep the hospital going, but to continue to improve upon it. We just hired two new surgeons who are starting soon. We are rolling out a women’s health initiative. And there are plenty more great things to come.
We have our boots deep in the ground here and will do everything possible to keep this place open no matter what. Java is committed to Alta Vista and has no intentions to sell the hospital either. We have made tremendous strides in a very short period of time here and we are just warming up

I want to announce to the City of Las Vegas and all my followers that I have accepted a position at Alta Vista Regional Hospital to become the Medical Director, effective October 1, 2024. I have already been working hospitalist shifts and ER shifts for the past few months, but this new role will allow me to be directly involved with making the necessary changes to make our hospital great! The people of Las Vegas deserve quality healthcare at home and it is the mission of Java Group, Summit Emergency Medicine, Alta Vista, and myself to deliver nothing but exceptional healthcare for this community. We are long overdue for a change and that change is finally coming. Nothing gets fixed over night and we have some big challenges to overcome in the next few months, so please bare with us during this transition process, but it will all be worth it when the dust settles. Thank you all for your continued support! Please share this post so that it can reach the masses. I want everyone to know that great things are heading our way! Thank you.

P.S.
So to clarify, I will still be working full time at Sunrise Clinics and I will still be working for Anvoi Hospice. Nothing will change there. Sunrise is my home and my clinic patients mean the world to me. I’m not going anywhere! 👍🏼

Despite me posting that I am absolutely NOT leaving Sunrise, people seem to still be spreading that rumor. Yes, I am working at Alta Vista in the ER and as a hospitalist, NO I am not quitting Sunrise Clinics. I will not even reduce my schedule at Sunrise. I will still be working full time there. I love that job. That’s my pride and joy.
I also work for Anvoi Hospice. That will not be changing either.

I just wanted to let everyone know, I started my job as a hospitalist at Alta Vista yesterday. I will also be doing some ER shifts as well. I’m super excited about the new ownership of the hospital and the fact that it’s a non-profit organization. I’m very thankful for this opportunity and I look forward to helping the community.
I will still be working full time at Sunrise Clinics as well. Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere! My clinic and clinic patients are very important to me. Sunrise continues to grow and I’m very honored to be an integral part of its success in Las Vegas.

As of Friday, August 4,2023, I no longer work for Vida Encantada Nursing Facility (now known as La Vida Buena). They are under new ownership and they made it very difficult for me to continue my role as medical director. With my back against a wall, I had no choice but to resign.
It breaks my heart to leave my patients and their families. There are amazing people still working at the nursing home and I just pray that they are not put in a situation like I was, where they end up having to quit as well. I wish the residents, their families, and the local employees the very best. Special thanks to Kimberly Vigil and Victoria Hayoz for all their help and support over the years. And special thanks to our previous owner Matt. He and his wife are great people and outstanding Christians.

I will focus on Sunrise Clinics, hospice, and ER in Santa Rosa. And more importantly on my family. Thank you all for your continued support. God bless

I had the honor of mentoring Jorge over the last several years and have known Lucia and her family for several years as well. Great people!

I’m hearing a lot of whispers in the community (and from my friends in the governor’s office)that another business is not happy with the growth of Sunrise Clinics and they are making an effort to make us go away. It has been brought to my attention that patients are being told Michael Lee is no longer working in the Las Vegas area. He was previously employed at El Centro Clinic. I want to make sure that everyone is aware both Michael Lee and Matthew Probst are working at our Las Vegas location-Sunrise Clinics.
