These symptoms can signal problems with arteries or veins that carry blood throughout the body. Arteries deliver oxygen-rich blood to organs and muscles, while veins return blood back to the heart. When these vessels become narrowed or damaged, circulation can suffer.

If you’ve noticed changes in your circulation, a vascular specialist can help determine the cause and create a treatment plan.

Pain in your legs while walking isn’t always “normal aging.” It may be a sign of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) a condition where narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to your legs.

Many people first notice cramping, heaviness, or fatigue in their calves when walking. These symptoms happen because your muscles aren’t getting enough oxygen-rich blood during activity.

PAD is more than leg discomfort. Left untreated, it can lead to serious complications like non-healing wounds or infections. Early diagnosis can help restore circulation and protect long-term health.
