“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” -Martin Luther King Jr.

We are outraged by the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and the unjustified deaths of many other black men and women across this country. We stand with you in solidarity and denounce any acts of racism, bigotry, violence, and hate. Black Lives Matter.

UNLV Student Nurses Association’s mission is to build future leaders, and to uphold that mission, we all must do more. We must advocate for our Black future leaders, friends, and peers, as well as recognize the continuous oppression of Black Americans in our country. We must do more.

As future leaders, we must actively listen and be aware of all the cruel actions in our country. We must educate ourselves and each other about the ongoing racial injustice and hate in our country. We must speak up against the injustice within the system. We must advocate for change. We must do more.

To all our Black future leaders, friends, and peers, we see you, we respect you, and we stand with you.

A good visual to help understand why so many large social gatherings are being cancelled. Limiting the gathering of people is not out of panic and fear, nor to stop the virus. It is to help slow the progression of the illness and help lessen the burden on our healthcare resources.

Hello everyone,

In tandem with the School of Nursing, UNLV SNA will be postponing all events for the month of March to take precautions against the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Student health and safety is of the utmost importance and by postponing these large gatherings, we are minimizing the risk of transmission from person-to-person.

As always, stay tuned to our social media for any announcements regarding the rescheduling of the postponed events. We hope you and your families remain in good health during this time!
