Nevada still has one of the hardest mental health situations in the US, with adults and children having the hardest time getting mental health care. The state often has higher rates of su***de and overdose than the national average, and these rates are especially high among vulnerable groups like older people, LGBTQ people, American Indians, veterans, and men. Some of the main reasons are being alone, not having a job, not having good healthcare options, and mental health access problems that are built into the system. Recent research suggests that 38.4% of adults in Nevada show signs of anxiety or depression, which shows that the state needs better help and intervention.
