April is Alcohol Awareness Month, a time to focus on understanding the impact alcohol can have on physical and mental health. It’s also an important reminder that support is available and seeking help is a sign of strength.

Whether you or someone you care about is struggling, early recognition and connection to care can make a meaningful difference. This month, we encourage everyone to learn the signs, start conversations and support those who may be facing challenges.

You’re not alone. Support is here when you need it.

Pregnancy and early motherhood can be an emotional time, and for many women it can also bring serious mental health challenges. We recently launched a new program to support women from pregnancy through the postpartum period, including mothers with toddlers, after identifying a significant need in our community. About one in five women experiences postpartum mental health concerns, and access to the right support matters.

Our very own Ashley Dlucokinski sat down with KSNV News 3, Las Vegas to discuss the new program. You can check out the full segment here: https://bit.ly/41rPruT

We were honored to co‑host a meaningful Lunch and Learn at the Las Vegas Readiness Center in partnership with the Nevada Army National Guard, Optima Healing and Recovery and Lion Heart Recovery. As the Director of Business Development at Spring Mountain Treatment Center, I’m proud to support opportunities that bring together providers and military leadership to strengthen behavioral health resources for service members and their families.

This session focused on su***de prevention strategies within military behavioral health, and we were pleased to offer 1 CEU for social workers in attendance. It was a valuable day of education, collaboration and connection.

We recently attended an all-day event for at-risk and homeless veterans. This event hosted by U.S.VETS. Las Vegas provided several services like mental health, healthcare, housing, and much more.
