Dear Friends and Associates,
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has just announced the results for the 2016 performance year for the Medicare Shared Savings Program.
We are enormously proud and pleased to announce to you that for the second year in a row Silver State ACO has achieved shared savings.
Over the course of the two years, Silver State ACO saved CMS (and taxpayers) over $21,000,000.
Silver State ACO participants made significant improvements in quality of care, as evidenced by our outstanding overall quality score of 88.57%, while achieving cost savings.
SSACO continues to grow. In 2015 CMS attributed nearly 15,000 patients to our Participants. In 2016 Silver State ACO was responsible for, and judged on results for, over 19,700 patients. We currently have almost 25,000 attributed patients and hope to represent over 30,000 in 2018.
Achieving shared savings is a result of hard work and cooperation between the Participating Providers, Preferred Providers and Silver State ACO. We’d like to thank you all, and your entire staff, for helping us achieve this. Together as a team, along with our corporate partners Kindred Healthcare and the Valley Health System, we can accomplish great results for our practices, our providers and our patients.
Again, thank you.
Sincerely,
Lawrence M. Preston
