Medication safety is always a top priority and that’s why the Summerlin Hospital team recently celebrated Will, RN. In 2025, he scanned his patients and their meds 100% of the time, which translated to over 5000 medications! Scanning helps prevent medication errors, which contributes to our overall commitment to patient safety.

Thank you to all the amazing physicians who are on the medical staff at Summerlin Hospital! In addition to diagnosing and treating patients, our medical staff members serve additional roles in the hospital - serving on hospital-based committees, as faculty members to residents, as guest speakers for special events and much more. We wish we could feature all of them but they don't stay in one place very long!

Among our specialty services are an Obstetrical Emergency department for patients who are between 20 weeks gestation and 14 days postpartum; a labor support support, antepartum care for high-risk moms-to-be, a level III neonatal intensive care unit for babies who require additional medical care after birth and many educational classes covering everything from childbirth education to breastfeeding basics, baby boot camp, fitness classes, infant massage and more!

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Early Ritter, MSN, RN, to the position of Director of Nursing Operations and Assistant CNO at Summerlin Hospital. This new role expands Early’s exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing healthcare for our organization and community.

Early joined the Summerlin Hospital team in 2011 as a staff RN in Labor and Delivery, she began her journey into leadership as a Clinical Supervisor, Manager, and her most recent role as Director of Women’s and Children’s Services. As she steps into this expanded role, Early will begin to oversee key adult inpatient areas.

As Summerlin and the surrounding communities to grow, so does Summerlin Hospital. The 485-bed hospital recently opened a new patient care dedicated to adult oncology care, expanded its pediatric unit to the sixth floor and renovated its Level II neonatal intensive care and maternal triage units.
