🌎 Proudly serving Nevada and surrounding states with 24/7 advanced veterinary care, supporting pets and their families every step of the way. VE+CC, through its association with LVVSC, will provide general practice veterinarians and pet owners access to life-saving emergency, critical and specialty care doctors all under one roof. Unlike other local animal emergency facilities, VE+CC will have doctors and nurses on-site at all times allowing for continuous treatment and ongoing collaboration with the animal’s primary veterinarian. If referral to a specialist is needed, LVVRC doctors are literally down the hall.

🐱💛 Hiro — our hero!

Hiro stopped by to donate blood and help save a fellow feline in need. Cats may be small, but their donations make a huge difference for patients facing anemia, trauma, or emergency surgery.

Fun fact: cat blood donors usually need to be calm, healthy adults (and yes—they have blood types too!). Each donation can help another cat get a second chance.

After doing his good deed, Hiro enjoyed the best part of the day: a well-earned post-donation snack. 🍽️😸

We were so proud to partner with The Little Lights Project as Dr. Megan Posukonis and Nurse Hilary visited a local kindergarten class to share what it’s like to be a veterinarian.

More than 100 bright-eyed kindergarteners learned how vets help animals every day. They practiced listening to each other’s heartbeats with real stethoscopes and explored a heart model Dr. Posukonis created to show how the body works.

And of course—no vet visit is complete without a furry friend. Every student went home with their own little stuffed animal to “care for,” thanks to this special project.

We’re grateful for our incredible community teachers and so inspired by the next generation of animal lovers and future veterinary professionals. 💙🐾

Remember Medusa? 💜

This gorgeous Neapolitan Mastiff had surgery and a few days of round-the-clock care with our team last month — and just look at her now!

Her family shared these adorable holiday photos and reported she’s gained weight and is back to her wonderfully ornery self. We can tell by her mid-conversation pose in the second pic! 🐾

We love updates like this — and we love Medusa! 💕

Beautiful inside and out — little Chocolate (with the most stunning chocolate-colored fur!) was hospitalized with us for several days, and our team absolutely fell in love with her.

We recently received this heartfelt card from her family 💕

Our pocket pets and exotic friends have emergencies too — and we’re here for them! 💚
Some of our doctors, including Dr. Quellhorst (pictured here with this adorable guinea pig patient 🐾), provide care for small and exotic species in need of urgent or specialty attention.

What a fantastic turnout for last night’s CE event — Anesthesia Under Pressure: Managing BP in the OR — with Dr. Jon Congdon, DVM, MS, DACVAA!

Nearly 70 veterinary professionals from across the Las Vegas and surrounding community joined us for an evening of learning, collaboration, and connection. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet new partners in the field.

A heartfelt thank-you to Elanco Pet Health for sponsoring the event and supporting continued education within our community, and to Dr. Congdon for sharing his expertise and passion for veterinary anesthesia.

We’re already looking forward to next month’s CE event with Dr. Megan Posukonis, DVM, on Managing Diabetes Mellitus.
