🌎 Proudly serving Nevada and surrounding states with 24/7 advanced veterinary care, supporting pets and their families every step of the way. VE+CC, through its association with LVVSC, will provide general practice veterinarians and pet owners access to life-saving emergency, critical and specialty care doctors all under one roof. Unlike other local animal emergency facilities, VE+CC will have doctors and nurses on-site at all times allowing for continuous treatment and ongoing collaboration with the animal’s primary veterinarian. If referral to a specialist is needed, LVVRC doctors are literally down the hall.

Last week we stopped by our friends at Nevada SPCA Life-Saving Shelter with food for their community pet pantry 💛

Of course… we couldn’t just drop it off and leave. We had to say hi to some of their incredible adoptables — from the fluffiest chinchillas to sweet cats and pups… and one very special rat named Emmalita 🐭

Just a really good reminder of how much love there is in this community—for pets and for each other 🫶

We’re big believers in showing up for our community through continued learning — with multiple sessions both in-house and for our referring partners.

These dogs bring so much focus and heart to their work, and it shows in every run.

Messages like this mean everything. 🥹

Sweet Paloma came to us from our friends at Park Animal Hospital having difficulty breathing and needing a little extra support. She spent several days with our ICU and Critical Care team, and we’re so happy to share she was feeling better and able to head home.

Moments like this — and notes like these — are why we do what we do.

Blue’s story is a special one. 💙

He came through our ER with a broken leg — and a family who knew he needed help. With support from our friends at Frankie's Friends, we were able to get him the care he needed without delay.

This one took a full team — from ER through surgery and specialty care, with our board-certified surgeons and anesthesiologists all coming together for Blue.

A full-circle moment… surgery resident Dr. Olivencia, who led his surgery, was once a Frankie’s Friends student grant recipient himself.

Now Blue is healing — already toe-touching and handling physical therapy like a pro. 🥹

Champ’s story didn’t start in a hospital—it started with him doing what so many good dogs do: protecting his home.

He was badly hurt during a break-in, and his family did everything they could to help him. But over the next few days, it became clear he needed more support to get through it. When our friends at Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas reached out, we were ready for him.

We were honored to care for Champ through our ER, perform his surgery, and support him every step of the way with our surgical team and 24/7 ICU staff. He did amazing—and even through everything, he never stopped being a good boy.

But what really stays with you isn’t just what happened here. It’s everything that happened around him.

A family navigating more than their fair share, still fighting for him.
A young man giving up what he had to try to save his best friend.
A community—and even a school—stepping in to lift them back up.
This is why partnerships matter so much to us. Working alongside organizations like Hearts Alive allows us to show up for cases like Champ’s—and through programs like our rescue partnership discount, help make care a little more accessible when families need it most.

Champ, you are so deeply loved. We’re cheering you on every step of the way. 🧡

Sometimes we get texts from the team that say it all.

Our Vet Tech Lead Bryan sent this one:
“This is Jack and he’s the perfect patient.”

Jack is an almost 15-year-old handsome Jack Russell mix who came to see us for pancreatitis. Despite not feeling his best, he handled everything like a pro — sweet, patient, and happy to make a few new friends along the way.

Around here we’re constantly texting each other or stopping in the hall to say, “You have to meet this patient.” Jack was definitely one of those.

We love our patients. 🧡

Meet Sable — the very good girl who got herself into a little trouble.

She came in with a bone stuck around her jaw and two very worried parents by her side. The best part? Sable was so calm and cooperative that our team was able to remove it without sedation.

A quick fix, a big sigh of relief from her family, and Sable went home feeling much better.

10/10 patient. Would help and love on again! Great job, Miss Sable! 🐾
