Not every fever needs an antibiotic — and taking one “just because” can do more harm than good. Antibiotics treat bacterial infections, not colds, flu, or viral coughs. When used the wrong way, they stop working… and that’s how resistant bacteria and superbugs grow.

If you ever stopped your antibiotics early because you felt better — that can make the infection come back stronger.
