Valley Hospital Medical Center is pleased to welcome Mark Smith as the Nurse Manager for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Mark brings extensive clinical and leadership experience to the role, supported by a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Leadership & Management. He is also Vascular Access Board Certified, demonstrating his commitment to advancing nursing practice and patient safety.

Originally from Kentucky, Mark now resides in Henderson, NV, with his spouse and their great dane. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the region’s diverse culinary scene and is an avid car enthusiast. Mark is excited to join Valley Hospital and looks forward to partnering with the leadership team to strengthen clinical outcomes, champion professional development and continue delivering high-quality care to the patients and families we serve.

We are thrilled to share that a familiar face is returning to Valley Hospital. Jeremy Arnold returns to Valley Hospital in 2025 as the Director of Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Therapy Services. After completing his clinicals at Valley Hospital in 2011, he officially joined the team as a bedside Respiratory Therapist from 2012-2016 before stepping into a manager role at St. Rose Siena Hospital.

Jeremy shares, "The Valley respiratory department has a special place in my heart. I came here for clinicals as a student, then grew as a bedside RT. That experience gave me a sense of pride. My heart is now full, returning to where it all began. The respiratory department is top-notch, and I couldn't think of a better place to be. I'm honored to serve this community, where patients can feel at ease knowing they'll receive the highest quality care from the best team in Las Vegas."
