We provide a wide spectrum of health and human services such as treatment, housing, Veterans, and more.

WestCare, a family of tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, provides a wide spectrum of health and human services in both residential and outpatient environments. Our services include substance abuse and addiction treatment, homeless and runaway shelters, domestic violence treatment and prevention, and mental health programs. These services are available to adults, children, adolescents, and families; we specialize in helping people traditionally considered difficult to treat, such as those who are indigent, have multiple disorders, or are involved with the criminal justice system.

Last week, Connections staff participated in a Nevada Homeless Alliance event held at Vegas Stronger, where they actively engaged with a variety of community resource providers. During the event, staff built meaningful connections with partner organizations, shared information about the Connections program, and explored opportunities for collaboration to better support individuals experiencing homelessness.

WestCare Connection’s staff wrapped up their Friday with a fun and engaging team-building experience at Red Door Escape Room. The evening began with pizza and wings, giving everyone a chance to relax and connect before diving into the adventure. Teams then put their problem-solving skills to the test in the escape rooms, working together to overcome challenges and complete their missions. It was a great opportunity to build teamwork, strengthen relationships, and enjoy a well-deserved break filled with fun and collaboration. 😁

Our Director of Residential Services at the Women's and Children's Campus participated in a panel at KO Knudson Academy of Arts in celebration of International Women’s Month. Speaking to an audience of 8th-grade girls, she shared her personal journey, motivations, and advice for shaping their futures. Her words reflected both strength and compassion, offering the students hope, encouragement, and a powerful reminder of what is possible when women support and uplift one another.

Strength and resilience

The women from our WestCare Nevada Women’s and Children’s Campus attended the Rise of the Phoenix Women’s Conference. It was more than just an event; it was a day dedicated to renewal. From powerful speakers to a creative painting session, our ladies had the space to relax, express themselves, and most importantly, bond.

We are so proud of these women and reminded daily of their incredible journey. Seeing them feel appreciated and uplifted is exactly why we do what we do.

Progress is a journey, and Nevada is taking massive steps forward.

We’re proud to highlight the partnership between WestCare and CASAT at the UNR School of Public Health. This mobile MAT unit is a vital piece of the puzzle as we work toward better coordination of care under the Nevada Health Authority.

Our goal is to align our Substance Abuse, Rural Health, and Su***de Prevention agencies to maximize our impact and reinforce our commitment to rural Nevada.

Irma and Rhonda were out in the community this week for Commissioner Kirkpatrick’s massive Kids Safety Fair! We’re so proud to represent the Women and Children’s Campus and The Village while connecting our families with life-saving resources like drowning prevention and car seat safety. Plus, you can't beat live entertainment and carnival games!

So grateful to Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick for prioritizing the safety and well-being of the families we serve. It’s all about building stronger, safer neighborhoods for our kids!

A Day of Unity at the Veterans Stand Down
Last week, the Las Vegas Women Warrior Unit stood alongside 100+ community partners to ensure our veterans have access to the support they’ve earned. From healthcare and housing to legal aid and even pet assistance—it was all about bringing vital resources into one room.

In a wonderful gesture of appreciation, the VA presented all participating vendors with a Certificate of Recognition, honoring their dedication and contribution to this year’s Veterans Stand Down at the World Market Center. We are so proud to be part of a community that shows up for those who served. 🇺🇸
