One of the most common misunderstandings about Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) is that you can't live a fulfilling life with it.

But Michaela Davert says otherwise.

She was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, a rare condition that causes fragile bones.

Throughout her childhood and early adulthood, she suffered over a hundred fractures and went through 30 surgeries.

Michaela was at our Education Center as an International Spine Study Group (ISSG) patient advocacy group and shared a powerful story that reminds us why we are in this profession and of the value of hands-on training.
