Last week Grand Montecito honored our Resident Veterans and Resident Veteran Spouses. We started the day with a heartfelt performance by Volunteer Marci Berenato, sponsored by Uplift Hospice. Residents waved their flags proudly and shook their musical instruments to the sound of Marci's beautiful voice! A big thank you to Marci and Uplift Hospice for the fun, and festive gathering with patriotic music and old time Resident favorites! And that was just the beginning! Grand Montecito's Resident led Creative Cuisine Crew has been busy creating fall treats for our community! A recent favorite was warm apple pie crescents. The comforting aroma of apples and cinnamon filled the air as our Residents worked together to roll, sprinkle, and bake. Hands on experiences like these are at the heart of our SPARK program, supporting engagement, sensory stimulation, and meaningful connections. Our amazing Housekeeper Elisa, Marketing Assistant Ty, MedTech Toban, and Caregiver Bailey all recently reached their milestone moment of one year. This month our Concierge Extaordinaire Jessica will also reach the one year mark! Work anniversaries remind us of the value of consistency and teamwork.
