I didn’t start The Garden Foundation to build a nonprofit.
I started it because my sister Lindsay needed a place where she was truly seen, valued, and given the chance to continue learning while living a meaningful life.
What began as something small and personal, quickly became something much more. As other families were searching for the same thing we were, our waitlist grew. The need grew.
And with every new family who walked through our doors, we were reminded why this mattered so deeply.
Finding a new space hasn’t been easy (understatement of the century!) But they say the best things in life aren’t. So we kept going, knowing in our hearts that belonging wasn’t optional. It’s essential.
Today, I get to share something that still feels surreal…
We purchased our new home!
A place with room to GROW (5 acres to be exact 😳).
A place that allows us to reopen our waitlist and welcome more individuals and families to be loved, cared for and supported in the same quality way we always have.
More independence. More confidence. More opportunity. More joy.
This space is so much more than walls and square footage.
It represents more individuals who get to experience a life full of purpose and possibility.
And it represents belief. Belief in what happens when people with disabilities are seen for who they are and what they CAN do.
To every person who has donated, volunteered, shared, prayed, encouraged, and believed in this vision over the past 7 years… thank you. We would not be here without you.
Our Garden is growing and the best is still ahead.
Welcome to our new home!!!🌸
