Just so you know, laser hair removal is totally safe for all skin types, and if you happen to be on your period, it’s really no big deal to us. Most people find the sensation way more manageable than waxing, so you definitely won’t be screaming, but feel free to let out a little nervous energy if you need to. One thing we have to be super strict about, though, is sunburns. If your skin is burnt or peeling, we’ll unfortunately have to send you home and get you back on the schedule for later. Putting a laser over sun-damaged skin is a recipe for serious burns and permanent scarring, and that’s a risk we just aren’t willing to take. It’s honestly not worth it, so if you overdo it in the sun right before your visit, just give us a shout and we’ll find a better time for you.

Ever wonder what a perfect reaction looks like after a photofacial? Well, the photo above is a perfect example 😊

Notice the diffuse redness becoming more intense? That is exactly what we want because it means the vascular targets are responding. See that darkening around the eyes? That darker undertone is a sign the light brown pigment is being pulled to the surface. Over the next 24-48 hours, these spots will darken and develop a crust-like texture called mends before naturally shedding in about a week. Today marked the end of an era as we locked the door to the cabin for the very last time. This place has been a constant since the beginning of Scott and my relationship, and I don’t think Declan can even remember a time when this cabin wasn’t part of our family.
We’re going to miss those late night fires while the snow was falling and the long summer days spent with cocktails on the porch. Most of all, we’ll miss the ease of walking over to our mountain family’s homes for a party or a quick hang, and that feeling of freedom when we could just boot the kids outside to be kids without a single Vegas worry.
While this chapter is closing, we aren’t finished with Duck Creek just yet. For now, we’re going to watch and wait, ready for whatever new and exciting adventure comes next. Time to make some new memories, but I’ll always cherish these 🥰
