No judgement. Always.
I’m a mom who always says I love you,
and I always will be.
No matter what you do
or how we feel,
I’ll always say it.
I’ll say it when anger boils up, and I want to scream.
I’ll say it when a wave of sadness overtakes me.
I’ll say it when the frustration builds and I want to explode.
I’ll say it after I snap and apologize.
I’ll say it on the good days where we’re twirling, laughing, and playing a game of chase.
I’ll say it on the bad days where we’re all fighting, screaming, and someone’s always in tears.
I’ll say it every morning when I see you at my bedside on tiptoes.
I’ll say it every night when you're snuggling right into me.
I’ll always say I love you,
no matter how old you are,
no matter the distance,
no matter what you do,
and no matter if we argue or disagree.
Because I love you through every moment.
And I’ll say it so many times
so you WILL know you’re loved unconditionally.
And I hope you feel safe and secure,
unafraid to explore what you’re capable of,
because if you fail, you’ll still be met with open arms.
