Dr. Everts shares a little bit about who he is and how he can help you in AZ:

I am a husband to a beautiful and capable wife (Haleigh) and father to two adorable kiddos (Ireland and Xavier), a former collegiate athlete who really loves dad jokes (bad jokes in general). I am a big nerd, in the sense of I loved being tested in school and I loved being able to learn as much as possible. My love of learning is also why I am so excited to be joining this team with Dr. Bogash.

Anything Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, basically anything that has a good fantasy storyline, I am a sucker for. I am also very into sports, cars, gaming and food! I have an undergraduate degree in Nutritional Science, so I really love physiology and using food as the first line of healthcare.

I received my Doctor of Chiropractic and graduated Summa cm Laude from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. I was raised in Simi Valley California, I am a Cali boy with a love for the desert and heat. My father is a chiropractor and sadly had to retire after 30 years of practice, I have learned a lot from him and I am willing to do what it takes to make someone heal and thrive.

I am always willing to learn and strive to always use what I learn to help as many people as I can. I am excited and privileged to join the team at Lifecare Chiropractic!

Dr. Carissa Abe discovered chiropractic care during her early athletic career.

Chiropractic changed Dr. Abe’s life after years of frustration with pain and no college athletics improvement. With one treatment from a Sports Medicine Chiropractor, she was able to thrive and compete at the highest collegiate leve, Division 1 NCAA Championships. After college, she was inspired to help patients reach their optimal potential with Chiropractic Care. Dr. Abe went on to finish her collegiate swimming career as one of ASU¹s All-Americans.

After graduating from ASU with a BS in Kinesiology, Dr. Abe enrolled in Chiropractic school at the Southern California University of Health Sciences. Her love of chiropractic medicine grew deeper as she worked alongside several successful chiropractors and traveled across the US to represent her school. Dr. Abe graduated from SCU with honors and received the President¹s Leadership Award for her class.

He completed his residency at the University of Miami and a fellowship in interventional pain management at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona.
