In Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist, on Netflix, Kim Min-Jae's character Yoo Se-Poong works as a royal family acupuncturist. He is entangled in a royal family scheme. As a result, he is expelled from the royal palace and starts working in the odd but lovely Gyesu Village. There, he runs into the village’s acupuncturist Gye Ji-Han (Kim Sang-Kyung). Yoo Se-Poong grows into a physician who treats both mental and physical illnesses in patients.

In Episode 1, Gye Ji Han’s son mentions their herbal inventory: Angelica root, Goji, Milk-Vetch root, Licorice, Deer Antlers, and Ginseng. It is so interesting to see a show displaying Oriental Medicine in practice. Check out the show on Netflix!

On Wednesday October 23, 2024, Dr. Sanghyun Lee, Marketing Staff Alumni Jean Kim, and Intern Student Crystal Haro from Wongu University and Health Clinic visited the Department of Human Resources - City of Las Vegas offering free non-invasive ear seed treatments to 30 participants including city of las vegas employees and vendors from the previous outreach from city hall. They proudly displayed their booth and Dr. Lee provided a presentation to participants. We look forward to continuing to grow alongside the Las Vegas community and what they can bring to the future of Oriental Medicine.

On Tuesday October 22, 2024, Dr. Sanghyun Lee, Marketing Staff Alumni Jean Kim, Intern Student Crystal Haro, and Intern Observation Student Amanda Silva from Wongu University and Health Clinic visited City Hall offering free non-invasive ear seed treatments to 40 participants including city hall employees and vendors. They proudly displayed their booth and Dr. Lee provided a presentation to all participants. We look forward to continuing to treat the Las Vegas community in the future!

Requirement: license of Nevada Oriental Medicine Doctor (OMD), or plan to get Nevada OMD license in 3 months
Part time/ Full time: 24 hours ~ 40 hours per week
Clinic shift hours: Morning; 8am~12pm, Afternoon; 12:30pm ~ 4:30pm
Clinic open days: Monday ~ Saturday
Benefits: may include H1 visa sponsorship (up to candidate)
Work tasks: Clinic Practice including Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Cupping and other Oriental Medicine modalities, may include clinic administration, Herbal Dispensary staff tasks (up to candidate)

Welcome back Dr. Seungtae Kim! Dr. Kim recently came back from Seoul, Korea from an outreach event recruiting international students, Korea Overseas Study Association (KOSA), for Wongu University. KOSA represents service providers of counseling and education consulting assistance for students and professionals who wish to pursue an education abroad. We look forward to what opportunities are ahead!
