Before the day ends.... HAPPY BLACK MIDWIVES DAY!!!!

Take a trip back...down in the South... and take a peek at the Black Midwives that are traveling door to door to check on moms, building their community, ensuring that that are nourished spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Midwives Clothed In Purpose (😉) and determined to provide exceptional care.

Then people decided that whiteness was "clean" and black was dirty. They tried to take something that was deep down in spirit. They tried to eradicate what God placed in the soul of black midwives. They couldn't shut down what God ordained. It started to look differently. Forced underground. Forced to be hidden. Forced into silence. You can never silence what God put in place. You never diminish what God placed in the belly of His people!

Fast forward to today and I AM HONORED to be in the number! I AM BLESSED to be a Black midwife! I AM THANKFUL that I walk behind trailblazers. To my Great Great Grandmother, Virginia Tipton, THANK YOU! I wish that I could be walking beside you, heading to a birth, preparing postpartum meals, and singing these babies out. Thank you for passing the torch. I picked it up and we're walking on!

My heart is with you and I stand in and hold space for those that have experienced such great loss. I know that there will always be an emptiness and hole in your heart. I pray that God will hold you in His arms to rescue you from that hurt. I am here if you ever need to let out your frustration or just to exist in this lull of space. I stand here with you and here for whatever you allow me go be 💜

Being a military spouse isn't always so glamorous! Sometimes it means starting a business all over again and having to rebuild from scratch. It's having to put yourself out there to build relationships and sometimes people just don't want to be bothered. Stick to what you know and who you know. I get it. I've been there before. Pregnancy is one of those things that not everyone deserves to be in that space with you. I'm not sure what God has in store, but I know it'll be in His timing. I'm just being obedient.

Homebirths are probably one of the most sacred experiences you could have. In the comforts of your own home, you are in control of your space and what happens in it. It's something you cant really explain until your experience it for yourself. I get the opportunity to see women become a new version of themselves. Entering into motherhood is a blessing that I get to witness and I would love to help you usher in new life earthside! It's something about seeing the touch of God at work, in real time. I'm waiting on you 💜

We up baby!!!! Fear tactics don't work over here. We can properly inform clients of their options instead of trying to scare them into hospital birth. They all serve their purpose!! IT'S MIDWIVES' WEEK!!!!!
