Under-eye rejuvenation is not a single procedure, but a personalized approach guided by anatomy and aging patterns. As Dr. Ching explains, treatment begins with a consultation to determine the most appropriate strategy for each patient.

For some, volume changes over time create a tear trough that may be addressed through lower blepharoplasty, where fat is carefully repositioned to restore balance. In other cases, small amounts of fat may be transferred from elsewhere in the body and placed deep within the lower eyelid to support natural volume.

When surgery is not necessary, in-office treatments such as conservative skin removal or CO₂ laser resurfacing can improve excess skin and texture changes related to sun exposure and aging.

Dr. Ching is often asked when patients can expect to see results from CO₂ laser treatment.

He explains that following treatment, visible improvements typically begin once the skin has healed—often within one to two weeks. As collagen production is stimulated, skin quality continues to improve gradually, with the most meaningful changes developing over the first three to six months.

Because CO₂ laser resurfacing encourages new collagen formation, results are progressive and long-lasting. While the natural aging process continues, the overall rejuvenation of the skin can be appreciated for years.
