💙 April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙

This year, Prevent Child Abuse Nevada invites you to be part of a powerful movement: Pinwheels of Possibility.

When we shift our focus to supporting families early, before challenges become crises, we create stronger relationships, reduce stress, and give children the opportunity to thrive. Prevention starts with community, and it starts with all of us.

🌟 Join us throughout April:

📍 CAP Month Kickoff at Chicken N Pickle (Henderson)
📅 April 1 | ⏰ 6 PM

📍 Pinwheel Planting Ceremony at the Nevada State Legislature (Carson City)
📅 April 3 | ⏰ 10 AM

👕 Show your support by wearing blue on April 3 for Day!

Pinwheels symbolize the bright futures all children deserve and the role we each play in making that possible. By investing in family-centered, prevention-focused solutions, we can build communities where every child grows up safe, supported, and full of possibility.

Together, we can make a difference! 💫

Our NICRP Intern, Ashley Hughes, attended the CAA’s “You’ve Got the Mic: Change Makers Policy Studio #1”🎤 where she had the opportunity to learn more about local policy issues and recommendations directly from professionals in their fields and community members with powerful lived experiences!

The event highlighted policy recommendations and real conversations about how to create meaningful change in our community. Ashley walked away inspired and excited to keep learning and engaging with local leaders and advocates.

She’s looking forward to attending the Change Makers Policy Studio #2 on March 22 to hear even more ideas and recommendations from members of the Las Vegas community who are working to make our city stronger and more responsive!
