My heart feels heavy. Grief, alongside with profound gratitude for the connection with my mentor, John F. Barnes.

His teachings—his medicine—myofascial release live within me and so many others. His myofascial release teachings is something I carry forward, to share with my loved ones and my clients. Myofascial release has transformed my life and healed me in so many ways.

Years ago, during three consecutive seminars here in Las Vegas, I sat close to the front. When I looked into his eyes, I saw so much kindness, so much love. During those first few days, all I did was cry, his eyes will catch my eyes, his tenderness and kindness healed something deep in my heart and turned into softening and so many, many tears. His compassion opened something in my heart—he was treating me even without touch. A softening that was deeply needed.

During a pivotal moment in my life, when I was following my love and passion for his healing work of myofascial release, I shared with him my fears about taking a leap of faith and starting my healing practice. He looked at me and said, “You’re going to do well”, plus a few more kind words of advice!
The kindness and quiet confidence with which he spoke those words live in my heart to this day.

I am deeply grateful and honored for the opportunity to have connected with his presence, his guidance, and his kindness. His legacy continues through the hands and hearts of those he touched!
