Women's Cancer Center of Nevada

Women's Cancer Center of Nevada The Women's Cancer Center takes a comprehensive approach to treating patients suffering gynecological, urological or colorectal disorders.

We know that you are not just concerned with your health, but with the quality of life you will enjoy after treatment. You will find the Center to be a safe and reassuring place to discuss and plan for even the most intimate of medical problems. Gynecology

The Women's Cancer Center is a recognized leader in the fight against gynecological cancers including ovarian, endometrial and uterine cancer. As a full member in the Gynecologic Oncology Group, we offer both standard approaches and clinical trials for those who qualify. Our surgeons are experienced and knowledgeable in the use of laparoscopic techniques, which though less invasive, can be as effective as more widely used surgical procedures for treating women with gynecological cancer. We are one of only a handful of major institutions in the country who study this approach. Our physicians understand that living with a cancer diagnosis is a challenge for both patients and their families. We know that every individual experience with cancer is unique, and we work with patients to provide exceptional care specific to their needs. We recognize that our patients must walk a long, and often difficult road to better health. This is why the Women's Cancer Center and our physicians are here to help simplify and answer any of the questions or concerns you may have keep you informed and educated about your treatment options and provide "next steps" for complete care. The Center for Colorectal Surgery and Pelvic Floor Disorders

We opened the Center for Colorectal Surgery and Pelvic Floor Disorders when our newest physician, Dr. Leslie K. Browder, joined the practice. The center specializes in diseases of the colon, rectum and anus and provides treatment for various gastrointestinal cancers and also for diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, pelvic floor disorders, fecal incontinence, hemorrhoids, and fistulas. Our physicians are board certified specialists and leaders in minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Transanal minimally invasive surgery for polyps and early rectal cancer are also available. The center also provides office-based procedures for hemorrhoids, as well as screening colonoscopies for cancer. Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstruction

Our physicians are board certified specialists, dedicated to the restoration of normal female anatomy, bladder, vaginal and rectal function, and the correction of symptoms of pelvic prolapse. Diagnostic services, including complex urodynamic testing and cystourethroscopy, are available. Through the use of advanced laparoscopic techniques and well as medical therapy and state-of-the-art surgical procedures, the Women's Cancer Center has realized an excellent success rate in the treatment of incontinence, pelvic prolapse and reconstructive vaginal surgery.

I have friends that are Ds and Rs and both can have rational and sometimes irrational discussions regarding their politics, but all agree on one thing….IT IS DISGUSTING THAT BILLIONS OF DOLLARS ARE BEING SPENT ON THIS ELECTION. BOTH PARTIES SHOULD BE ASHAMED. You want to win this election make one commercial saying all money donated from this point on will be given to cancer research, not to name calling. Or maybe I will have health insurance with the same deductible as everyone else. How stupid “ Hitler”, “ Tampon Tim”, “threat to our democracy” OMG … is this is the best the consultants can come up with? I am done with this idiocy and so is my phone. I can’t use my phone (will be changing my number after 25 years) to receive messages from patients or hospitals as it is flooded by unwanted and unsolicited political BS. There is not enough anti-nausea medication available to overcome this legal invasion of my privacy. Unlike your business, political text messages are not required to allow you to opt out…of course not. Turn out the vote…how about more like turn off the voter.
Peace out

The amazing patients and docs at the Women’s Cancer Center. Over 12 years ago Micaela Bravo presented with advanced stage ovarian cancer and underwent a massive surgical procedure followed by chemotherapy....and more surgery and more chemotherapy and held her head high, smiled, took a beating and kept on ticking with a heart of gold. I was her first doc at the WCC and as time passed she and we were lucky enough to find an incredibly bright and caring new doc, my partner, Dr.Natalie Gould. So as this old man, who was lucky enough to have Natalie, Dr.Kushnir and Dr Fleury join the gyn onc team, transitioned my patients to the new kids on the block, Micaela joined with Dr. Gould in her continued fight for survival. Just when all seemed to have gone in her favor, she was found to have esophageal cancer. At this point, most would have bowed gracefully and exited right, but instead more radiation and more chemotherapy and today I was privileged to pay a surprise visit to Micaela while she was in for follow-up and by God there she was laughing and crying, but standing there without any evidence of disease. What a day!!
Thanks Natalie and thanks Micaela, it’s your story that makes it all worthwhile.
Love ya

Over the weekend the WCC lost a member of our family when Lee Gordon, husband of Dr. Natalie Gould and father of Olivia, passed peacefully into the night. Lee had been courageously fighting thyroid cancer. Lee continued to live a full life socially and professionally until the end was very near. He played golf, rode his beloved bikes and drove a bevy of cars...most importantly he loved his family, friends and his job. It takes most families when moving to Las Vegas, a bit of time to come to love our unique community, but the Gould Gordons embraced this city (particularly Lee) and became a part of the community on so many levels. Lee was an amazing talent in the OR with incredible judgement. I can’t tell you how many surgeons Lee kept out of trouble. He became a trusted part of many surgical teams. He rode bikes with many; traveled with some; rooted like crazy for our Knights; and was so proud of Natalie (his little General) and Olivia. He tried to keep some of that on the down low but when Olivia “kicked ass” as a diver on the state or national level he was so so excited for her and proud that she had stuck with it. Even with his “cancer” Lee was too young and too active for me to keep up with but I enjoyed watching from afar. Regardless of which belief system you may be part of ( or not) say a prayer for or think of something nice or funny about Lee. I am sure he would like that. He will be missed and always loved by those closest to him. Personally I will become a closet Oklahoma football fan in his memory.
RIP Lee Gordon.
