A small group from the 180+ third graders we had visit the Nevada Division of Forestry nursery this week. These kids were so interested in learning about seeds, prorogation and pollinators ........ no doubt in my mind that they will become our protectors of our environment in just a few years. Thanks Outdoors Nevada, US Fish and Wildlife and Barrick for sponsoring this event!

Working with Christiana Manville with the Pardners for Fish and Wild life Program for the last 5+ years has been such a wonderful experience, she is well beyond the usual agency support person. Always there, with either land owners or kids in the local schools, she simply connects, I love working with her, it does make the difference! This past Saturday at the Earth Day event in Pahrump was just one of many she and I've done together.

This past Sunday, our TEAM did a major prune/clean up at the Henderson Bird Viewing Park. It was our 4th event there and 48 volunteers came to work and did they! Our group, sponsored by Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) had volunteers from The Boy Scouts, Red Rock Audubon Society, US Fish and Wildlife, the City of Henderson, Nevada Division of Forestry and many independents, including a few from out of state (Virginia). The TEAM is making a difference, let us know if you want to help? These pics are from Janelle Losoff (J.J.). Thanks for the record! For any information contact: wayman.doyle@gmail.com

Fun fact: When threatened, the coast horned lizard can shoot streams of blood out of its eyes as a defense mechanism. 😎 This juvenile coast horned lizard was found on McGinty Mountain in California.
