How ABA can help build social connections:

February is a time to celebrate kindness and connection - and for many children with autism, social skills take time, practice, and support.

ABA therapy uses evidence-based strategies like modeling, reinforcement, and structured play to help children develop communication, turn-taking, and confidence in social situations.

Families can support progress at home by:
* Narrating social moments
* Playing turn-taking games
* Using visual supports
* Keeping practice short and fun
* Celebrating effort

Jaz has been doing an incredible job, consistently reading and implementing goals as written while ensuring meaningful progress for her clients. She excels at pairing and approaching new clients with enthusiasm. Recently, she expanded her availability to take on evening sessions at the center and has done an amazing job adapting to these new clients. Jaz also participated in the Safety-Care training with Omar and Corey, showing great energy and attentiveness. Her dedication and positive attitude make her a valuable part of our team—keep up the great work, Jaz!

A little bit about Jaz:

I’ve been an RBT for a short period of time but I have enjoyed every moment working hands on with all my clients. The work we do is important and life changing. I hope to inspire all of my clients to be themselves and know that they are different but not less. I have my bachelors degree in psychology and I have always had an interest in human behavior. I am originally from San Diego, I have two dogs and I love to play soccer.
