PTs and PTAs across New York are dealing with denied claims, delayed payments, and recoupments, and we’re collecting real data to take back to insurers and policymakers.

If you’ve hit a wall with reimbursement, we want to hear from you. Your experiences help us identify patterns and advocate for better payment practices statewide.

The Department of Education is reviewing what counts as a “professional degree”—and a draft definition could leave the DPT out.

That would mean fewer federal loan options for DPT students and new barriers to entering our profession at a time when we can’t afford more shortages.

Nothing is final, and we still have the chance to influence the outcome. APTA is working with federal partners and Congress, but we need your voice too.

➡️ Take a moment to contact your members of Congress through the APTA Action Center and urge them to protect the DPT. Your advocacy matters.
