I know everyone has something that is near & dear to their heart.

I am always grateful for the support i receive and even the simplest of compliments and encouragement but I know it everyone is lead to support my cause and that’s okay.

I do this for many reasons and one the biggest reasons it to support others. Yall please go visit Sofia’s page and show her some love and support even if it’s just kind and encouraging words or you would like to support her in another way. Please just be kind, love, and encouraging when you have the opportunity. It truly does make all the difference.

It’s Monday and back to school work we go!!

I’m not feeling the best and not sure why so today it’s fuzzy socks and light snacky lunch while I knock out some school.

What’s everyone’s Halloween plans this week? I’m not sure if we are doing anything. Last year sis and I said we wanted to stay home and have a movie game night but who knows.

We have been busy busy and even though this week has been one detour after another we had survived.

We are headed to an event today at the Soccer fields and I hope everyone enjoys the consumable items but more than that I hope parents and kids enjoy the games and diy photo area we have brought for today.

Tomorrow’s event has been rescheduled, we will update once we have all the information on that event. In the mean time though if anyone needs goodie bags for their kids for school or day care please keep me in mind.

I have 20 lbs of candy to do something with and have decided to offer bulk ordering for them. They have candy and a toys item. Let me know if you are interested.

The money is going towards the current Higgy Bear fundraiser.

A glimpse at life 1 year ago today for.

I had bilateral (not proper name bc idk) ankle valgus correction. Before having the screws placed in my ankles to temporarily close the growth plate on one side my ankles rolled in to the point they were almost touching the floor.

My last check up sometime during the summer showed a lot of correction but that it still hadn’t reached 90 degrees like it needs to be. We will follow up in May to repeat images and measurements.

With all of my medical combined I have always had weakness in my ankles so between the screw placement and therapy I also have AFOs to help with ankle support while my leg length is being corrected and I work to strenghten the muscles.

Whoop whoop!!

I have a wellness check in the morning and then off to the bank I got to move funds to my card to start adding donations to the fundraiser!

For every $500 that I can raise it not only allows me to provide 25 bears to other children but it also provides 4 tickets to a family wishing to attend Higgy Con 2026!

How awesome are the rewards for helping others?! I know for sure with th help of others I can help more then 3 families plus my 4 family tickets being covered for Higgy Con.

We have officially finished off my 4️⃣th week of schroth therapy and have started to get equipment for at home. 🏡

Schroth is a lot different than regular physical therapy and it’s a lot of moving & working parts at once while learning to self correct at the same time. It’s really challenging but I have enjoyed it so far and it’s even fun.

Tonight mom moved the mirror 🪞 to her dresser so I could have a way to practice my schroth walk since dad ordered balance birds 😃 for me.

My floor beam should be here tomorrow so I can start adding what I do at therapy to my at home 🏠 routine. Right now my at home care routine is still my everyday core strengthening exercises and we are slowly changing those too.

Sorry for the spacey video, it’s been a long week and the next 4 days are slap full also. Higgy Bears is at it again working hard to make a difference in the lives kids and families affected by scoliosis. I am joining them in the newest fundraising adventures and wanted to see who would like to join my family and I in being a small part of something g huge!

Happy Monday Zebra, Bears, and friends!

We are off today get this week started. We have lots of big things happening, but we are starting off with AFO adjustments and passing out more bears and information about Higgy Bears and our local friends group!
