We were honored to attend the Autism Awareness Community Event hosted by the Port St. Lucie Police Department this past weekend. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect with families, providers, and community leaders who are all committed to increasing awareness, sharing resources, and strengthening support for individuals with autism and their families.
One initiative that especially stood out was learning that children with autism in St. Lucie County can receive a free alert bracelet through the police department to help track their location if they wander or become lost. Practical support like this can make a real difference for families and reflects the kind of community partnership that truly matters.
