As we close this month reflecting on love, we’re reminded that love is not just something we talk about it’s something we practice.

This month we explored:
• God’s unconditional love (agape)
• Healthy self-love rooted in dignity
• Commitment and boundaries in relationships

Now comes the invitation: put love into action.
Through patience.
Through forgiveness.
Through choosing healing.
Through daily, intentional acts of love.

What is one way you will live out love differently moving forward?

Thank you for journeying with us this month at Love Thyself Wellness Center

Loving others well doesn’t mean self-sacrifice without limits.

Jesus modeled love that was compassionate, honest, and boundaried. Psychology teaches us that boundaries protect relationships and prevent resentment.

Healthy love toward others includes:
• Honest communication
• Respect for limits
• Compassion without enabling

Where might love in your life need clearer boundaries?

When love is properly ordered, it becomes life-giving.

Faith teaches us that loving God first shapes our identity. Psychology shows us that self-awareness and self-compassion create emotional stability. Together, they help us form healthier, more secure relationships.

Disordered love can lead to burnout, resentment, or losing ourselves in others. Ordered love leads to peace, balance, and authentic connection.

Is your love life rooted in obligation, or in truth and balance?

Notice something powerful in the commandment:
We are called to love others as ourselves.

Healthy self-love is not selfish it’s recognizing your dignity as a child of God. Psychology affirms this too: caring for your mental, emotional, and spiritual health allows you to show up more fully for others.

Loving yourself well means:
• Honoring your limits
• Practicing compassion toward yourself
• Seeking healing when needed

In what ways can you care for yourself with the same kindness you give others?

The greatest commandment begins with God.

When we love God above all else, we anchor our lives in truth, purpose, and grace. This love isn’t about perfection it’s about relationship, trust, and surrender.

Loving God first doesn’t take love away from others or ourselves; it orders love so it can flourish.

What does loving God with your whole heart look like in your daily life?

Valentine’s Day isn’t just about hearts and flowers, it’s rooted in faith. ❤️

St. Valentine was a Catholic priest who believed love was worth defending. At a time when marriage was outlawed, he secretly united couples in holy matrimony, honoring God’s design for love and commitment. His courage eventually led to his martyrdom.

His story reminds us that true love is more than a feeling it’s a choice, a sacrifice, and an act of faith.

✨ Reflection question:
How can we live out a love that is faithful, courageous, and rooted in God today?

Happy Valentine’s Day from Love Thyself Wellness Center 🤍

Faith and psychology are not opposites they work together.

Our faith teaches us to love as God loves: with patience, mercy, and selflessness.
Psychology helps us understand how to live that love in healthy ways through boundaries, emotional regulation, and self-awareness.

When faith guides our values and psychology supports our healing, love becomes a space where growth, safety, and grace can exist together.

Love isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Psychology teaches us that love shows up in different forms, romantic, familial, and platonic and each one plays a vital role in our emotional well-being.

Our early experiences also shape how we give and receive love through what psychology calls attachment styles. These patterns can influence how safe we feel in relationships, how we communicate, and how we connect with others.

Understanding love helps us grow in self-awareness, compassion, and healthier relationships with others and with ourselves.

In this month of love, we reflect on the true essence of agape love, the selfless, unconditional love that God has for us. As 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 reminds us, love is patient, kind, and enduring. It’s a love that goes beyond feelings and is rooted in compassion and care.
