I used to think joy was something you had to earn, but now I see it’s something you choose. Even in transition. Even after loss. Even in the middle of becoming.

As I approach 50, I’m not searching for peace anymore. I’m creating it— slowly & intentionally — with laughter, grace, and a whole lotta faith.

Turning 50 has me thinking about all the ways I’ve shown up for everyone else. I spent so much of my life pouring into others—making sure everyone was cared for, covered, and okay. Somewhere in that, I forgot what it felt like to be full myself. After losing my dad, I almost skipped this photoshoot, but then I remembered the promise I made to pour back into me. To choose myself— not out of guilt or obligation, but out of love 🤍
