Today is National Overthinkers Day a day created by my friend Whitney Coleman to normalize, laugh at, and rethink overthinking.
This is such an important conversation. Overthinking is often dismissed, but the truth is it can drain our energy, feed anxiety, and keep us stuck. That’s why I love that we now have a day to pause and pay attention to it.
Here’s how I approach it using my 3-A Framework™:
🔎 Awareness – Notice the thought loops without judgment.
⚡ Action – Choose one grounding step (breathe, write it down, or reframe it).
🌱 Adaptation – Build a healthier response pattern for next time.
Overthinking doesn’t have to own you. You can shift from spinning in circles to finding clarity and calm.
