When it comes to establishing and executing your goals, do you tend to just “go with the flow” on a daily basis while hoping for the best? If so, then this tendency may be the very thing that’s keeping you from accomplishing your goals.

When I was a high school student, the principal mentioned something to us students that has personally stuck with me till this day, “Begin with the end in mind.”

To begin with the end mind means that every day, you have a clear focus on your goal, and that you make sure that each project, task, and ACTion, is in alignment with what you have set to accomplish. For instance, if you have set your goal as an AIC of 6.5%, you will on a daily basis eat right, exercise, and practice other healthy habits to ensure that you meet your AIC target in your desired time frame.

I understand that this may be easier said than done, however, I will provide you with three simple tasks that you can try to help you begin with the end in mind, today:
✨ Change your perspective. Sometimes, changing your situation requires changing your mindset. By simply adopting a positive outlook, you can be more motivated to accomplish.
✨ Do something different. Doing the same ACTions while expecting different results is not the way to go. Try fine tuning your goals into ones that are more attainable for you.
✨ Think ahead. Think of where you would like to be 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months from now and consider whether each of your daily ACTions help you or hinder you from achieving your goals and adjust accordingly.
