Laurel Eye Clinic In 2006 Dr. J. M. "Bo" Beddingfield, OD founded Mississippi Family Vision Clinic, PC. The reason was simple. Clair Young Optometrist of the Year for MS.

At that time Dr. Beddingfield intended on providing eye care at multiple locations throughout the Pine Belt area. After three years the name of the clinic was changed to Laurel Eye Clinic, PC. Jones County had become not only a place to practice but home. He decreased his involvement with other clinics in the Pine Belt and began seeing patients full time in Laurel, MS. From 2006 until now Dr. Beddingfield has seen over 23,000 unique patients while. Believing in word of mouth referrals generated by caring for and treating patients has led to the natural growth of Laurel Eye Clinic and Dr. Beddingfield's career. To date Dr. Beddingfield has served as Chairman of Mississippi's Optometry related political action committee Optometry for Progress, served on the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Optometric Association, is a Past President of the Mississippi Optometric Association (will be installed as President in 2018), served on the American Optometric Third Party Committee, and won the Helen St. Dr. Beddingfield obtained his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.

In 2006 Dr. J. M. "Bo" Beddingfield, OD founded Mississippi Family Vision Clinic, PC. At that time Dr. Beddingfield intended on providing eye care at multiple locations throughout the Pine Belt area. From 2006 until now Dr. Beddingfield has seen over 18,000 unique patients while advertising less than five times. Believing in word of mouth referrals generated by caring for and treating patients has led to the natural growth of Laurel Eye Clinic and Dr. Beddingfield's career. To date Dr. Beddingfield has served as Chairman of Mississippi's Optometry related political action committee Optometry for Progress, served on the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Optometric Association, is the current Vice President of the Mississippi Optometric Association (will be installed as President in 2018), and won the Helen St. Clair Young Optometrist of the Year for MS.
